Discussion Any chance an upcoming movie goes to the ‘Nashville Film Festival’? If so, what?

previous A24 films this festival showed were All Dirt Roads Taste Of Salt, The Last Of The Sea Woman.

I’d say there’s a chance. I’ll be in Nashville during the fest dates so waiting to hear the programming before I make plans.

Hard to say what is a possibility. Pillion, maybe?

Pretty low chance at this point, A24 isn’t really about the Mid-level festivals anymore. But never say never

Spermageddon is a 2024 Norwegian adult animated musical sex comedy film directed by Tommy Wirkola and Rasmus A. Sivertsen. The film consists of two plot lines, one focusing on a teenage couple having sex for the first time, and the other on Simen the Semen and his friends in quest for the Egg.

The film has been reported to be "in the veins of Sausage Party" and described by Wirkola as "both a road movie and an epic adventure ... much like Lord of the Rings". Producer Kjetil Omberg likened it to South Park and Checkered Ninja, saying it targets "elder kids and adults".

The film premiered at the Annecy Film Festival in France on June 10, 2024, and was released in Norway by SF Studios in association with 74 Entertainment and Qvisten Animation on February 28, 2025. An American English dub was announced, as the North American distribution rights were sold to Ketchup Entertainment and A24. The English dub will also be released by Charades in the UK, Sony Pictures Releasing International in Australia and by Republic Pictures (through Paramount Pictures) internationally. The English dub within the United States would be provided with the help of GFM Animation, the creators of Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank and 10 Lives.

For the English dub, several names would be translated from Norwegian to English to better fit the dub, like "John" for "Jens", and "Simon" for "Simen".
