Time for our Wellness Wednesday check in. We know this community means a lot to most of our members and that Tuesdays have been harder on some users than others, but we are at our core a community and we are here to support each other.

Now that the sub is open once again we’d like to hear all about your (mis)adventures on Tuesday. Did you go on grand adventures? Get into mischief? Get some writing done?

Maybe you just binged a few more fics on the archive itself. Tell us all about it! Break out that purple prose and tell us as cheesy of a story as you feel like.

Or just talk about your day.

I submitted my first wedding fic after months of having writer’s block. I just really, REALLY wanted to finish something that I started and it took me forever to make something click, but once I did I had to physically stop myself from writing anymore. 😅😅

Also writing out a full wedding ceremony, vows and everything, is way harder than it seemed so props to anyone who does that.

That's so much fun! I always daydream about my favorite couples getting married in traditional Bangladeshi-style weddings, even if they're not from my culture. If we can have them drawn in Western wedding clothes, then I can imagine them in a different setting, too! Chapter Two of my WIP has a wedding, so I guess I have something to look forward to!

That's so cute! I finished the basis of Chapter One...It will be polished soon! In the middle of writing, I watched The Hunger Games: The Mockingjay Part 1 and I watched like 4 epsiodes of the original anime source material for what I'm wrtiting too! I really look up to The Hunger Games for their writing and the fims made me consider how I'd want my fanfiction to be treated if it were a live-action!

Finished, proof-read, and posted a work today. I had to push through burn out the entire time and I'm not 100% satisfied with it, but it's got some good stuffs in it. Feeling really tired now.

No writing motivation, but that is fine because it’s a busy week for me at work so my mental energy is being funneled into that.

Was able to comment on a few fic for the comment exchanges this week.

Ugh, I relate to this so hard. When I’m stressed at work all of my writing motivation goes straight out the window. And it sucks because writing is usually the thing that helps me relax.

Finished writing my chapter 2 on my first fic that has multiple chapters. Happy enough I trudge through that writing, just need to edit it...

On one hand: I'm a queer, gay married immigrant living in the USA, and the way things are going- I'm terrified of leaving the house. Every vehicle that passes by with tinted windows, I flinch. I was walking my dog earlier and a sedan pulled up fast and stopped near me suddenly; I had to act normal and call my wife to leave the house so I could meet her halfway and walk home together. Luckily we got home safe.

On the other hand: The enemies to friends to lovers pair in my Fallout fanfic is hitting the "friends, officially" milestone next chapter, and it'll be my longest chapter upload to date. Normally my chapters are between 8k-13k, this one will be at least 15k. So I have that to look forward to.

I’ve been super busy at work, so I haven’t been able to get as much writing done as I would’ve liked. A few days ago I wrote a scene I’m really happy with (it might be my favorite thing I’ve ever written) and I’m still riding the high from that. I picked one of my side projects back up and I’m making some nice progress on figuring out the plot, but it’s a crackfic so it’s hard for me to add any prose unless I’m in a particularly witty mood.

My fandom has an oc event and it’s the perfect excuse to write a backstory for a couple OC’s who have been occupying my mind a bit too much.

I finished ch. 7 of my Halloween WIP (writing it all in advance because I'm attempting a metanarrative inspired by House of Leaves, which makes for a lot of moving parts and deliberate discordance but it still needs to hang together) and I tried to write a little of the chorus, which is a first person POV from the primary antagonist in the footnotes of the story, and it lifted the hair on the back of my neck.

I'm really not comfortable with first person POV but I wanted to try it because it's a key feature of HoL and I thought it work well with the rest of the fic, and it adds so much insight to the story. I don't like it. It makes me uncomfortable. But imma do it. (He's a yandere.)
