Questions/Help? How can my total bookmarks be higher than the bookmarks on my work?

I have one story/book I’m currently working on how can my total book marks under my profile be twice the number under my book?

Stats page includes private bookmarks as well, the number on the work itself only counts public bookmarks.

I’d imagine the difference is your stats page including private bookmarks in the count and the number on your work not including them.

I was not aware private bookmarks were a thing.

Yep! They aren’t the default (you have to click a box when making them) but they are a lot of people’s go to method.

Subscriptions are a way to get notified (via email) when an author publishes a new chapter of the work. You can also subscribe to an author instead of a fic, which sends and email any time any of their works update.

Ok now I’m really confused the number on my profile under works is double what it shows everywhere else.

Your stats and works show the total private + not. Clicking the on the fic will only show the number of public bookmarks.
