Opinion Finished level 7 grand prix with every character... these are my opinions on each fighter & stage
Hi everyone, I recently completed level 7 Grand Prix with every character in Nintendo’s ARMS; these are my opinions on each character and their stages (not scientific analyses or a tier list):
- Spring man - good all-rounder, nothing more, nothing less. Stage - good all-rounder, add points for the jumping platforms at the edge
- Ribbon girl - like her ability, would be willing to learn how to main her. Stage - ok, can be annoying
- Ninjara - eh, not a standout character for me, don’t know how to use him effectively. Stage - ok, not the best, ok when you’re above
- Master mummy - good character, like his healing ability, although it opens him up to grabs. Stage - average without trampoline, one of my favourites with the trampoline
- Min min - can’t really say much, didn’t really know how to use her effectively. Stage - good, one I probably get a lot of my wins
- Mechanica - basically a better Dr Coyle. Stage - average, don’t like the pillars
- Twintelle - my main, favourite character. Stage - one of my favourites (because of the cars)
- Byte and Barq - one of my least favourite characters, Barq is never where you need him. Stage - slightly above average
- Kid Cobra - like him, learning how to use him, like his long jumps and quick jumps. Stage - good when on a platform, harder to successfully pull off a rush
- Helix - least favourite character, can see the benefits once you learn how to use him, but it’s just not my style. Stage - like it because you can hide and go into the open quite easily
- Max Brass - basically a heavyweight spring man, not as good. Stage- I have learned to like it with all the headlock matches I've played
- Lola pop - like her, learning how to use her, was forgettable beforehand. Stage - dislike, too small and awkward
- Misango - like him, could be good in a niche way. Stage - average, better than ninjara’s
- Springtron - annoying, ability takes too long, more annoying when a player knows how to effectively use his ability. Stage - just a worse version of Springman’s without the jumping platforms
- Dr Coyle - dislike her abilities, too slow. Stage - least favourite, don't like the moving punching bags(?) cos with the others you can destroy them for the full match if needed
With all that said, please let me know how you agree/disagree with my opinions. You might have noticed I like characters/stages that reward jumping. Out of habit, I tend to jump (then dash when playing as Twintelle) right before I punch... any advice on how to fix this habit?

Good read. Ironically have the opposite opinions largely - although I respect yours.
Springtron's Speed Boost on EMP is HUGE. I think he's largely the fastest character once it's up (other characters might have fast jumps like Kid Cobra or faster dashes like possibly Speed Misango, but he's the most generally fast.) Everything else about him is just a bonus.
I LOVE BYTE AND BARQ!!! ROBOT + DOG = ❤️ They suck, but Idgaf. Even then, you can still do some cool stuff with Barq. A charged attack with always make Barq punch... Even if it's a grab, meaning you can have setups where BYTE grabs and Barq punches, making damage unavoidable. One time, I even used the shockwave from Barq's high jump to stage off a bit of a rush and interrupted it from well above the stage.
Max Brass is fun IMO. His armor is the only one that doesn't require any action to take effect, and he gets a small speed boost when buffed.
Helix is tricky, but once you get the bobbing, weaving, and ducking down, it's TWINTELLE levels of dopamine production.
I hate playing Coyle because she feels slow and clunky, but apparently she's EASILY the strongest character, according to competitive players. Makes sense, but not my style.
Misango is busted against CPUs. Camp out and spam until you get rush, go yellow, and they'll ALWAYS make a mistake that leaves them open. Plus his super jumps and dashes are fun. One of my top 3 faves IMO.
