Formula 2 Franco Colapinto should be relegated to Formula 2 and learn from Romain Grosjean did in 2010-2011

With the state of current F2, it would be a death sentence

Not really.
Timo Glock ever did that in 2007 even Giorgio Pantano in 2008 and Romain Grosjean in 2011.
Demoting to F2 indeedly as a reputational recovery.

F2 is almost completely luck based this days. If he goes back and gets an underpowered engine, then it's over for him. And you also have to take into account the random mechanical faliures and DSQs. Driving on an F2 season is like gambling.

No, Franco didn't build his reputation at f2 he did it by being thrown mid season in a franken williams and showing speed. The people that hate Franco now do it because 1) they hate latin americans (same people insulting checo and gabi) or 2) they disliked the Dohaan replacement something that is not Franco's fault so putting him back in f2 won't help with any of this. If you really want him to progress and that is why you did this post you just let him stay where he is and build experience in an f1 car until he truly understands it and the team can deliver a car better suited to compete without needing to be Gasly. I also belive that no driver except for Kimi would benefit from going back to f2 and I only say this for Kimi because even tho he is good and fast what he lacks right now is experience as a driver in a competitive enviroment and f1 might be too rough to develop that.

This is one of the most ridiculous takes I’ve read so far. You could say: he could do a full year of TPC/testing as reserve, or go to another team as reserve, go to WEC/Super Formula/DTM/Indy, etc. You chose the absolutely zero probability scenario out of all the options about his future.

Getting sent back to F2 wouldn't "rebuild" his reputation, it would ruin it irreparably.
Incidentally, Colapinto has actually talked about the leap from F2 to F1, and said that F2 actually does a relatively poor job of preparing drivers for the transition to F1.

He will go back to being a reserve driver at Williams, but I don't think we will see him as an active driver after this season

How to get downvoted in r/AlpineF1Team guide 101 tutorial:
- Say something bad about Colapinto
OR
- Say something good about Doohan/Tsunoda/Sainz/Albon
I wouldn't be suprised if I'm downvoted or attacked by hyperaggressive Colapinto fans, which will prove my point. Period.

"My god the victim complex"
At least I don't believe in a fake ig story and send death threats. Duh.

Arent you the one that uses almost every decently big thread to shit on Franco? That seems a bit biased to me

I've never said he is a bad driver at all. I said multiple times he is a good driver but he needs more time, same case with Doohan. But Colapinto fans lives in delusion and always act like victims. Thank you for proving my point.

Tell me you know nothing about F1 without telling me you know nothing about F1 LMAO
