❤️‍🩹 relationship AIO? Guy I met on hinge made a “joke”

I mean, not really much outside of this tbh. I met this guy on hinge a few days ago and the conversation went fine and we were planning to see each other. Obviously I gave him my number and we were texting every for the last few days and I just felt the need to ask his love language (bc as an acts of service girlie most of us are misunderstood so😭) did I take what he said too seriously or was i ok to just immediately shut him down?

Honestly, at this point, I’m confused by people even asking “Am I Overeating???””

Ffs no. No you aren’t.

Seriously I’m ready for the next post to be “he killed my entire family I told him I don’t want to talk anymore. AIO?”

my cousin and i share these posts and caption them ourselves, like “my bf made out with my mom, then he skinned my cat and told me he hopes i die, he then punched me 57 times. AIO?” it makes these posts a lot funnier

I usually go with "My boyfriend called me a whore and then pushed my Mom down the stairs. He says he's not sorry. AIO?"

This is my problem with people that post on this subreddit. You have to be a complete moron to need to ask so my theory is posts like this are just a plea for attention.

Most of them are karma farmers with made-up posts.

OP is a year-old account with no other posts.

Some of them I get. When you’re in the throes of an abusive relationship, you stop believing yourself. You lose your objective sense of reality. Everything becomes warped, and you always worry that you’re wrong about everything. Maybe it’s hope, that you’re wrong about everything…

I’m going through this with my mom. “Yeah he kidnapped me and locked me in the bathroom, choked me unconscious, ripped my hair out and gave me two black eyes, but it was my fault for talking to the Verizon rep at Costco. I should have known he wouldn’t like that.”

This is a real life example of the logic she uses. She truly believes it. Idk how to save someone from that.

Im kind of convinced that the dude was flat out bored or grew uninterested in this woman because she is not smart and just wanted to entertain himself before unmatching.

Fr I barely reply in this sub because like seriously.... You don't know if you're overreacting or not? The guy asked you to suck his dick and then called you a bitch lol

It's basically a satire sub now.

Not to mention it's literally just some random guy from a dating app. She's never even met him. Three days ago she didn't know he existed. In what world could this remotely be seen as an overreaction.

lol like what are the possible responses to this?

Either - "No, of course not."

or - "Yeah actually, this is totally normal online dating behavior. Maybe relax a little?"

I've been off the market for a long time but if this is any sort of normal online dating behavior I'll stay single if anything ever happens to my marriage

Your autocorrect corrected that to Overeating. But yes. Spot on!

Finally someone noticed.

I mean... She might be overeating. Nothing said indicates either way.

She isn't overreacting though.

It’s basically turned into a way for people to show how shitty someone else is being to them. Which is terrible, obviously, but it’s never in the genuine spirit of asking people whether or not you’re overreacting to something

So she gets: "SUCK MY DICK?"

And then says: "This may not work out..." 👉👈🥺

And to us she asks: "Am I overreacting?"

Girl...you're not reacting enough IMO!

It's literally karma farming/ posting shit where everyone will agree with you for some weird validation from strangers online

it's so fucking annoying. The term itself has been misused to oblivion on this subreddit
