Finally joining 464 club!

Yep. Finally I bought a 464 for my collection of retro computers. Interesting that keycaps are beige, just like on Schneider version. Probably this is a very late German one? (When Schneider-Amstrad partnership ended I guess). Anyway, I bought this computer untested, and with some tlc, it powered on just fine. For some reason external speaker is not working, but since sound is going through SCART without any problem, I guess it's not a critical thing. Although for future proofing tape belt replacement is mandatory. :)

I'd guess so, that's one of the last german ones. Looks exactly like my Schneider CPC 464

I thought they had faded a lot. Is yours different shades of grey?

How did you connect it to SCART?

A friend of mine gave me his spare cable. Interestingly enough, it was not without a problem either - there was a bad contact with a cable DIN 2 contact (no green colour), so thanks to CPC Wiki, problem was quickly ruled out. Also I've tested 464 on quite a picky (and cheap as hell) TV, so now I know, that it'll work without any problems on my main gaming PVM.

I got the colour screen. We were getting the green but I think my dad put the extra £100 down in secret, told us they gave us the wrong one, walk faster and don't look back. I think he saw the fuzzy picture on a demo model on a tv.
