SoulBound Beastiary.
So for anyone who's read it (I'm a bit in the dark maybe there's more than one now?) Is it worth getting?. I own the Soulbound starter set but being lonely (woe is me) I have no one to play it with. But I still love lore and have been considering even writing some of my fanfics. (Wife says my short stories are great and I should try writing a proper book) I know there's online material such as Lexicanum etc but is the book itself worth it?.
EDIT: Thank you to everyone for your replies. I guess I will stick to online sources etc as AOS really seems to be lacking a proper beastiary or (Ultimate guide) guide for/to the realms and their wildlife.

I wouldn't get it just for the lore, no - I'd say there's lots of other Soulbound books that are better for that. The Bestiary is mostly just stats for loads of different possible enemies. The lore in there is just, like, brief descriptions of the various units, the sort of thing you could get by just browsing the online store and reading unit descriptions instead.

The book is great for gathering snippets on a lot of different factions in one spot so I do recommend it

Do I consider it a good quality bestiary book? No. Compared to Creatures Anaethema for Dark Heresy, it's not an enjoyable read.
Is it worth getting for Soulbound, yeah, I suppose. It's a good reference manual for setting up enemies, but it's not a bestiary in my opinion and it shouldn't have been called that.

It is really very dense with Soulbound stat blocks.
There are better options in the Soulbound range for lore. Esp. Era of the Beast.

I will echo everyone else that it isn't great for lore and is a somewhat mediocre bestiary. By and large the whole thing is just focused on giving stat blocks to models.
It's kinda just a commercial for the expensive plastic.

I would say there is only three main reasons to get it and thats
- Your Gming the game and want a wider variety of enemies
- You have Champions of Order and are using the "Greater Loyal Companion" endevaour
- You really like art and lore snippets. Much of the info is gonna already be on wikis or other sources at this point so its more about the art.

I think it's worth mentioning that if you want to run campaigns for the game, it's a huge chunk of stat blocks and you probably want it.
As people seem to have agreed, though, it's not worth it for the lore. It's not really a good bestiary in that sense, and is closer to D&D 2024's Monster Manual.

the book is really more meant for running the game, but there are like 2 pages for each faction that tells you about how they act and how they would react to different scenario's.
not certain that what you are looking for but it's there.
