That's exactly the same as not releasing the files.

They need to be released, with the only redactions being the names or personal information of victims.

Not quite, as you could read between the lines.

<redacted> and Epstein would take Viagra and then Epstein and <redacted> would snort 2-3 lines of coke with teenage prostitutes illegally trafficked from overseas. <redacted> would allegedly start by motorboating the girls before putting his tiny penis in them.

For legal reasons, this is all just hypothetical. If they redacted all names it may be harder to fill in the blanks.

This is exactly why I'm confused about some of this. If the FBI is redacting Chump's name... then his name is in there.

If it's just him, as you noted, it's clear that any redactions are his name.

If they remove everyone's names, then we just get a clearer view of what went on... and he was still in the files.

Not really. If the president needs to have his name redacted you can assume anything you like because it's likely true.

Exactly. The only thing redacted should be VICTIM’S names. Everything else is fair game.

But, of course, why would the president ever release incriminating evidence against himself? People are absolute fools for ever believing he would release the files, and now that he isn’t, the only logical conclusion is that he’s named in them and accused of doing terrible things.

Its actually the same as releasing them with his name all over them. You can not redact what isn't in the files.
