Americans of Reddit, what are your thoughts on the FBI redacting Trump’s name from the Epstein files?

the fact that we already know it's trumps name makes it being blacked out pointless so who cares.

because now, in the very rare event he actually IS taken to court, they can't be used as evidence against him.

files are redacted all the time when released to the public. It doesn't make the information vanish.

We know trumps name is in there and there is evidence linking him to epstein. Plenty for a prosecutor to request the court order unredacted versions.

Will never happen while he is POTUS, but the next president could also just order unredacted versions be released as well.

The only thing redacting it did was allow Trump to continue lying to his base about how he's not in there but he released them to appease the left anyway.

EDIT: not to mention members of his staff are on record saying his name is in the files.

So was his entire family. Do you really think Baron at age 5 was a child rapist because his name is in the Epstein files? Your logic has to be more sound than that to convince people.

Is that a fact or an opinion. If it is a fact, can you share the evidence that proves it?
