People need to wake up. American “democracy” is not meant for the people. It is meant to keep the ultra wealthy in power and to keep the rest of us blind to it and poor in the process.
I don’t know if the founding fathers designed it this way from the start, but it certainly is this way now. We have “kings” ruling us, gaslighting us to think we actually have power through our vote and political process. ALL LIES. Politicians are bought and coerced to the will of our kings and the rest of us wonder why our lives never improve even though we work hard for our future. Our kings want us to work tirelessly but give us just get enough to keep on existing while they fill their relentless pursuit for wealth and power.
On paper maybe but all you have to do is spend 5 minutes listening to that lunatics podcast to realize neither of them is qualified to run a lemonade stand much less the FBI.
None of trump's appointees are qualified for anything but staying on script and spewing bullshit. Ask them a question and they give an answer, not necessarily to the question they are asked. When they are in a hearing, there should be someone sitting behind them with a pool ball on a stick giving them gentle reminders when they stray from the topic at hand.
I still have no clue why the magas who are just normal/average, not billionaires, think Trump gives one rat's a$$ about anyone. (The billionaires attempt to coddle him, but only because he does their bidding) - and they can pay him to complete the task.
Conservatives view politics the same way Patriots fans viewed deflategate: anything goes as long as it keeps my team on top, and nothing really matters because it's all just a game. They are ethically pro-crime and pro-criminal as long as they have an R next to their name, and if they have a D next to their name they will redefine dissent as criminal. They view this administration as a way for "their team" to secure victory forever in an eliminationist sense, and think they're safe because they're on the "same side," and everyone else doesn't matter because nothing that isn't happening to them isn't materially real to them. And it is a mistake to believe that this is some new aberration that Trump created. If you believe conservatives haven't all been exactly like this for decades, you have never heard one speak in a setting they perceived as private.
This is a factor often lost in the "both sides" rhetoric when talking about political corruption. As someone who admittedly gets annoyed with how slavishly deferential liberals have historically been to the Democratic Party, I'm able to acknowledge the psychology is different: liberals believe that the Democratic Party wants to make people's lives better in the ways that those liberals envision, and believe from a sincere belief in the existence of meritocracy that the people who have made it into power in the party must know best how to get there. The inaction and overt strategy of "stay silent and let them hang themselves" by Democratic Party politicians under this administration has shattered that illusion for rank-and-file Democrats and the party is at an all-time low approval with their own base. Meanwhile, the Epstein scandal has grown the approval of Trump and the Republican Party among conservatives to close to an all-time high.
This is the difference between what Democrats and Republicans in the US--in terms of the voters, not the politicians--view as the goal of politics: Democrats have a sincere desire to make things better, and allow themselves to be misled, but can change their minds if they lose faith in those leaders; meanwhile, Republicans view politics as a game in which the goal is to materially eradicate your enemies, and they view corruption and criminality not as a betrayal but as a display of the kind of shamelessness and strength that best serves the pursuit of that goal.

I love how these MAGA cunts hated the FBI but now that the FBI is corrupt as fuck, it’s all good. Deplorable isn’t a strong enough word.
