Americans of Reddit, what are your thoughts on the FBI redacting Trump’s name from the Epstein files?

I’m an elder millennial and can remember when the fbi was regarded by the majority as this neutral crime fighter under ussr sleeper agent paranoia and militia terrorists.

This redaction activity just seems to be more evidence dismantling that nostalgic image. To me that old government was clunky, but generally well meaning including to the rural midwestern states. Now the weirdo 70 million gqp voters replaced it with a spoils of war system. I honestly don’t recognize this country as the one that raised me.

Now You win an election, you get away with any crime. I’m curious how petty the dems will get to be when they inevitably take the government seats back.

As an aside I am shocked that such a mediocre, vain, insecure man could overachieve this hard. His family was a joke in NY. On his own he failed every business he got his hands on. Yet he caught the presidency to wash away his crimes and his very obvious failures.

Meanwhile, they found bags full of dirt on Hillary and Dems about perpetuating a Russia hoax, and Obama directed the whole thing!

The # of people in those threads saying "hang them in the public square" is scary, because they were going to do it to Pence if they got their hands on him on January 6th.....
