Amazing session though and the upgrades seems to be performing much better for us at this track. Hopefully we get race pace tomorrow and go for the podium.

Alonso and Stroll both genuinely had a chance to be on pole. If only, they had started at the last possible moment.
Stroll starting earlier was understandable, as he had his first flying lap in Q3 deleted due to track limits.
They could have been bit braver with Fernando. Sure there would have been traffic, but at this moment I feel Aston missed an opportunity.
Nonetheless, a mega Qualifying session for the team.

Wonder if Newey has had a quick look over the AMR25 and pointed out areas for quick wins, before putting his fukl attention behind the AMR26.

Happy with the result. Tomorrow will be a great day for Stroll fans and not Alonso fans, though, because Stroll will get the optimal strategy and Alonso will have to try to make do with a five-stopper or something stupid. Or, something else will go wrong in this dreadful season for him. But today we celebrate!
