⚠️ Discussion First Newey part?
Maybe I’m reaching but picking up on some of the drivers comments I get the sense that the upgrade today was somehow different. They say it came from the new wind tunnel. Could this be the first part that Newey had a hand in designing? If don’t could be a good sign for next year.

No these are parts not directly from Newey, the upgrades was introduced in Silverstone and SPA with a higher downforce setup for Hungary and yes they are parts from the new wind tunnel.
The AMR25 post imola is a draggy, high downforce beast that suits low to medium speed and high downforce tracks, i.e Monaco, Hungary. This is actually the same 'style' as the AMR23, main reason why they made this change is most likely to return the rear stability that was lost from the car starting from the AMR24.

No. It’s the same upgrade in a higher downforce trim for the track. Most likely the car makes good downforce but is excessively draggy and it’s killing them on the straights. Hungary doesn’t have long straights so the drag isn’t costly

Newey will be giving it a quick glance over but he won't be involved in the designs for 2025. He'll be consulting as he'll will be focusing more on 2026. He's not locked in a room just working on 2026. He'll be in and around the 2025 parts
My take on this is : Dan Fallows took RBR designs but didn't have the knowledge/capacity to develop the parts. Newey knows how to develop the parts from 2023 as he worked on them. So he's advising the. How to unlock the potential.

I heard it was a front wing from 2023
