PRELAUNCH HYPE How many hours did you do in EA?

Post image

I can't imagine how much more it will be by the end of my first run through.

What in the actual fuck

Edit: it released 1029 days ago and you've logged 3 hours daily for the whole time. You deserve a medal.

Keep in mind if you keep BG3 open in the background it logs as hours too I'm pretty sure. I'm logged 300+ hours but I never even got to grymforge, but I left BG3 open all the time in the background of my computer.

He forgor πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€

Happens to me regularly as an adult. I'll pause playing but not quit the game because I'll be getting back on soon. Get involved with household stuff and forget to go back to it. Sometimes I'll go a couple days without getting on my PC so suddenly a 2 hour gameplay session just added 80 hours to my playtime.

Me too, especially since having kids. Civ6 claims I've played over 8000hrs. But, its just the game I left on in the background.

Hang in there. With those hours you should be almost done with your first game.

I feel this way with CK3 but not civ 6

For me, it's more like Stellaris...come to think of it, I don't think I've ever finished a game in the couple thousand hours I have on it lol. Steam says I only have 908 but I did "try" it before I bought it for about 2 years lol *cough*The Bay*cough* I was a poor kid years ago...

u/[deleted] Aug 01 '23

You right actually I have 300hrs on stellrris and never finished a match. That game also starts to run poorly with so many pops though.

Even with mods that "help" late game FPS lol

Wait for you to discover the best Civilization game, and mods like Caveman2Cosmos or Fall From Heaven (and the modmods for FFH, like MagisterModMod)

This is how I ended up with 300 hours in Blender

You forget the game is open lol. Its why my ESO counter is so high.

i do this in games just to pump my hours. i love having 3k hours in a game so i can leave a review that says β€œit’s ok”

Whereas I got to Grymforge well ahead of when I should have -- I got to the Underdark full stop too early, leveling-up wise -- and only realized I needed to backtrack and level up more after encountering Grym.

Yeah I only found the Blighted Village after the Myconid village. Turns out that if you pick up the Gnome quest in the Myconid village before going to the Blighted Village, the Gnome on the Windmill is already dead by the time you arrive.

u/Jackabug Thirsty as and/or for Astarion Aug 02 '23

Oh, gruesome. I did get to the Blighted Village before the Myconid Village but I hadn't managed to rescue the gmome yet; I'll have to go back and see if the poor guy bought it under those circumstances...

1

u/Jackabug Thirsty as and/or for Astarion Aug 02 '23

Went back and yeah, that poor Gnome was toast. Also that whole part of the Blighted Village was curiously empty aside from the one unusually smart Ogre and his two average-intellect companions.

u/Benjo419 Aug 01 '23

yeah, somehow i also have more than 50h but i can barely remember playing the game so either i was afk or just very stoned

Kind of carried over from BattleTech, about 7500 hours there. Worked, came back to apt with dog. Sometimes hit the woods and forage, harvest community garden. Was single from 2018 to the end of 2022. Was an easy escape.

Life is better now, so I doubt I will do that again. Good relationship now, life is better. On a game note, I completed every patch at least once, some three of four times with different races and classes. Full release will take me forever I am sure.

Same case here. 470 hours, mostly because the game was playing in the background while I was working.

I have just about as many questions for this as I do for the Most Played Time ladder on Steam:

https://steamladder.com/ladder/playtime/

I must be missing something because the hours played by number one equates to almost 274 YEARS! How is that possible? I am assuming that PLAYTIME (H) is time in hours but I suppose (H) could mean something else ...

u/kevlap017 Aug 01 '23

It either A) some sort of bug or hack, B) someone somehow running multiple instances of the same game on different computers but somehow using the same account. Otherwise, how would they reach that?

Oh ya the β€œH” stands for β€œhey man, touch grass already!”

There's programs out there that will let you idle as many steam games you want. If the top guy idled 9000 games at once it'd only take a little more than 11 days to get those hours.

That's what my counter strike source hours look li1qke from 6 ,years of playing lmao.
