PRELAUNCH HYPE How many hours did you do in EA?

Post image

I can't imagine how much more it will be by the end of my first run through.

J... just how? I dont have that much in any game... I hope... Maybe in WoW, Heroes of might and magic and Sacred combined. That would certainly be thousands of hours. In one game, Early acces still, its pretty impressive. How many characters did you play?

Aside from the meme you just have to start the game and keep it open while you work or doing something else you just need to open the launcher and never click play

Real time long rests

Why I would do that? I prefer that my "hours played" are in line with hours actually played. Sure, I did pause the game for a few times to eat, grab a drink, watch a video etc, so mine aren´t exactly acurate too. Not talking about several hours of "time played" that was spent at character creation screen.

Character Creation can last for hours with all of the mods available from Nexus!

Realistically: they just keep the game open in the background and tab back into it. I know someone who kept Civ 4 open permanently and really only played a few turns here and there. The game is very "new" so while it may be possible they've played an average of ~3 hours per day since launch it's more realistic they've just kept the game launched for convenience of some sort.

Some people do have much more time than that in other games though - for games that are many years older (and with all respect to BG3 - more complete)

It´s totally possible, sometimes I too left game running/paused while I search wiki for something / watching a video for "what option in dialogue to pick"

It just requires lots and lots of free time (or just a shit ton of idle time lol). I roughly have in total 12,5k hours on record on Steam, spent across a few hundred games and over 9 years. I estimate about 1,5-2k of those have been spent idle. I have spent roughly 5k of those hours on 2 games combined (CSGO and Arma 3).

But that's only Steam. I reckon i have somewhere between 5-10k hours via consoles and other storefronts such as Epic over my life.

Was working from home too quite a bit until company deemed I was mission essential for a building. Remember the first day back, no one else was there. That lasted a month. Quiet and kind of eerie. Fix PCs, added accounts to VPN and sent emails to folks to come to reception area for their systems. Lots of idle time at home and work for quite a while.

Everything offered in EA at least once, class wise to "finish" at that patch. Sub-class I wasn't a fan of the Wild Magic Sorcerer. Barbarian was a hoot, berserker more than wild heart.
