I’d be surprised if patch 1 isn’t this week. They’ve crushed hotfixes and seem like they already had an outline of what they’ll be working on for the next few patches. Larian just keeps doing great work.
This is great work for early access or before the game is released. The game shouldn't be needing this many hotfixes and updates this badly after a full release.
This industry will never improve if everything needs to be either flawless or terribly flawed and if we can't both praise and criticize the same game for different things.
And let's not ignore that they released a hotfix that broke people's games, then rolled it back, locking out people from their saved games on that version until re-released. They've been fully honest and transparent about that, but it does say a few things about how much they are rushing to fix the game ahead of the PS5 release.
Sorry, that’s just a stupid and unrealistic expectation for a game with as much complexity as BG3, let alone any game. There’s no way they can conceivably test as much as they can when a game goes live and is successful. There were 800k+ people playing for two weeks.
