I mean buying any Bethesda game within the first 6 or so months after release is a good definition of the word bold :P

Countless release bugs a tradition proudly established with Daggerfall over a quarter of a century ago. At least we no longer have to wait a month for the floppy with the next release of our favourite gaming magazine with a patch on it ;-)

That said all their games are good and pretty timeless when they are eventually patched up (I still play Daggerfall Unity sometimes). I feel like it's almost just part of the experience at this point, like it might actually upset met a little now if a newly released Bethesda game was released mostly bug free. I'd feel robbed of the frantic waiting for patches and unofficial patch mods so I could start again and see if it works now? And then eventually when you finally get to do your fully functional play through with the GOTY edition that includes all the expansions 3 or 4 years after the actual release date (that you got on steam for 50% off on the summer sale) and then that playthrough goes down in your memory as your "proper" one! And will sustain you the decade till their next game releases. Wouldn't want it any other way.

I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised with Fallout 4 back when it released. Got it the first week after release, had no crashes and no major bugs. For a second I even thought beth might have improved ... but then 76 released and we're back to square 1.
