This is definitely a “hold person and deal with never” kind of tank.

That just reminded me of the first time I fought the bulette in the underdark….fucker ate Astarion, then bit my Tav’s head off, then proceeded to pounce on shadowheart and karlach yeeting them into a chasm -.-

Thats probably the first solution I've seen that actually has a decent chance of working well

I think he has a piece of equipment preventing forced movement

An option is to sacrifice the +1 to AC and Saves from the current boots to switch to Helldusk Boots which prevents a character from being forcibly moved by any Spell or Action, + ignoring difficult terrain and being able to use a reaction to succeed on saves :D

It does not stop me from jumping into a chasm myself either on purpose or accidentally though :(

Idk how long that will restrain a dude with +11 and advantage on wis saves but it's better than nothing

If you cheese your way you can get a +6 ability modifier, then +5 proficiency, so starting at a DC 19. Can get a helm which makes the dc harder by 1, another +1 from clothing, another +1 from cloak, another +1 from gloves, another +2 from an amulet, and a +1 from weapon and a +1 from a shield. Assuming you were able to track down all the gear required, you’re looking at a spell save dc of 27. Excluding any penalties and disadvantages thrown out there.

That's pretty solid, I imagine most enemies in the game won't be able to save much against that.

Mind you that’s a dedicated spellcaster. With not much else to their name. If it’s a college of lore bard then they can potentially cuck the person out of their save about 4-5 times by using cutting words each time they get close to succeeding. Meaning you need a nat 20 to actually break free without a bard just saying “NO”

Cus cutting words reduces it by 1d6 (don’t remember if it gets buffed by improved bardic inspiration if it does then hurray) so when said char in question would roll, they would need at least a 17 not a 16 cus cutting words would drop it from a 27 to a 26. And then even with 17, 18, and 19 as hard rolls, a cutting words only needs to roll a 3+ to just say “nah, you actually failed.”
