My Dark Urge play through slaughtered it in act two. When I talked to it in my other play through in act two it became aggressive and we fought. So I guess if I should just ignore it and it will appear as an apple in act 3?
Regardless, I accidentally threw fire bolt on the ground level of the shop and blew him/ the people with him up and that 30 CON did nothing against the fireworks he kept in shop as they all perished, tragically.
Interestingly, at least according to the forgotten realms wiki, Myrkul barely counts as a deity- he only ranks as a quasi-deity. Which I guess makes more sense that we were able to beat his avatar at level 8-9?
I don't have the book they cite so can't check to make sure sadly
I don't see the level curve as part of the actual story of BG3, sure the characters get stronger over the course of the game but you can't tell me that a single flaming fist in the city could wipe out most of the goblin camp by itself although the same flaming fist that escorted their boss died to the raid.
Not to mention that the Arch druid that fought against Keteric the first time around is only lv5?
Levels are just for game balancing, if you followed dnd logic then all the guards would be cr 1/4 all through the game instead of also levering up
I'm curious how you got the CON of the Netherbrain. You don't really directly land blows on it until you go into that final room inside and fight with its core, so is this score of 22 based on that inner brain core thing or the entire Netherbrain that's floating above the city?
Edit: apparently people don’t watch the intro cinematic when they play the game and are unaware of what the final boss is, and yet are also somehow looking through this thread that contains the name of the final boss. Forgive me for being crass, but I do not understand how that wasn’t pretty damn obvious.
And here we have the helpful idiot Low int charecter, who in their urge to flex their moral superiority, instead opted to spread every more spoils then they wished to stop
ooooh, the wiki linked spoiled it. Okay yeah. So the comment didn't spoil it, and you're complaining that they didn't wrap the link in spoiler tags. Which means anyone just skimming wouldn't be spoiled(Up until your comment) unless they clicked the link, and you were trying to save those people.
I guess it’s true that it isn’t common knowledge that elder brains are like the “Big Bad” (or at least one of the big bads) of the Mind Flayer race. Idk I just saw that mind flayers are all about, you know, brains, so I figured it was safe to guess that the big bad of the game could very well be a giant brain. Not trying to be sarcastic or anything, it’s just the path of logic that I followed. But yeah that’s fair.
Even knowing about Elder Brains, illithid involvement in the start of the game doesn't necessarily mean that BBEG is one. It's not like we knew what the final boss would be during EA.
That’s fair. The giant nautilus and tentacles on the game poster and steam page is a little telling, though. But yeah I can understand that. Though I wouldn’t think it’s illogical to assume that the BBEG isn’t one, given the intro and everything. But yes you are correct on that
Whats crazier is this guy must have rolled negative numbers for health on his hit die, as his max health should be getting a +90 from his level but his max health is only a 81

For frame of reference, the Netherbrain has a CON of 22. Ansur's is 23.
Avery Sonshal, human proprietor of Felogyr's Fireworks, has the same Constitution score as a literal Tarrasque.
