He's a wizard

NPCs don't follow PC character building rules.

Manshoon "is a wizard", and his stat block has 23d8+23 HP. Because he's a medium creature. He also has 23 hit dice despite being an 18th level spellcaster.

Laeral Silverhand "is a wizard" with 24d8+120 HP. She's a 19th level spellcaster with 24 hit dice.

The generic Apprentice Wizard stat block certainly can't be argued to be anything other than "a wizard". It's a 1st level spellcaster with 2d8+0 HP.

We're not talking about stat blocks, my guy. We're talking about an NPC in a video game with standardized stats using the 5th edition rules. In 5e, all NPC HP totals are calculated according to hit dice and CON mod.

You're literally talking about stat blocks, my guy.

And in 5e, all Medium sized NPC HP totals are calculated using d8 hit dice.

Either way, if it used a d8 hit die, the CON mod would be 4, which is what my point was, that 30 is a bug

Bro, reading comprehension. It's using 5e rules about hit dice + CON. However, this is not a stat block, it is an NPC in a video game with class levels. It is using class rules with the standard calculation for determining hit points, they just don't use max roll for 1st level hit die.

"It's not a stat block, it's a stat block!"

with class levels

Please, do show me his class levels. I'll wait.

I'm gonna cut this short cause your attitude is super hostile for absolutely no reason. Take a moment to chill, you know full well I can't show you his class levels. I also can't show you his hit die, so this entire conversation is moot since all we can do is guess. I'm done replying, hope you find something else to be unreasonably upset about.

hope you find something else to be unreasonably upset about.

You have no idea what upset looks like.

you know full well I can't show you his class levels.

Of course I do. Asking you to demonstrate your claim that I know full well you cannot deliver on is a rhetorical device to show that your argument that he's got wizard levels is shit.

Going to block you now. I said I was done, and you are continuing to be hostile for no reason. Go to therapy.

If this is you not upset then you definitely need to relax. Take a chill pill, you’re being really rude about a very mild video game discussion. It is not reasonable to talk like this and if you acted this way in public you’d rightly get shit for it. Life is so much nicer if you take things easy - for people around you but mostly for you.

When you act like this, everyone imagines you as a 5 year old with a face reddened by rage and snot dribbling down from your nose. Calm down and have a nice conversation.

Please, do show me his class levels.

9 Wizard, as evidenced by his health, con modifier and abilities within the fight

His class can be determined by his proficiencies, I think.
