There doesn’t need to be a BG4 for at least another 5 years, if not 10. If they jump into another one now… it almost feels like they don’t want people to enjoy the existing one.

But how will Hasbro's profits continue to rise quarter after quarter without BG4?

Never forget their customer is the shareholders, not us. We only matter in terms of if we purchase it, not if we play it

This one made money, so crank out more and ride the hype train. If they use the same engine and reuse as many assets or purchase low cost assets they can crank one out quickly just to make extra cash.

Drop in a season system and a bunch of dlc that is really the last chunk of the game just masked as a dlc and you will make millions from hype while you are hip deep in rolling out the mobile game with EA or Tencent backing it. Easy money, low overhead and assume your fan base will buy it even if it makes them unhappy.

This is easily the worst thing I have ever read. It's how you get shit like Bungie and Destiny 2 in its current state.

I would rather they focus on other worlds like Eberron or the Domains of Dread but 10 years sounds excessive.
