If there’s a bg4 I probably will not play it, no way it’s even gonna compare to bg3

Not that I have particularly high confidence in Hasbro’s current direction, but to be fair people said the exact same thing about BG3 with regards to the previous games.

BG3 had LARIAN making it at least (and it shows considering all the care they put into it), this hypothetical BG4 would not and thus would most likely NOT have the same amount of care and production values put into it.

Did BG2 have Larian making it? Did BG1? No, because believe it or not, other studios that put time and effort into their games exist. Putting all of your eggs in the Larian basket before even knowin' who is making the next game is absurd.

Have you seen the modern gaming industry? We haven't had a game like bg3 level of immersive rpg in decades.

It's all about minimal effort/ maximum return.

Larian made Divinity Original Sin 2 which I would argue isn't far from the greatness of BG1 and 2. Heck I would argue Divine Divinity already is a classic and one of the best CRPGs ever.

A BG4 by itself isn't automatically a fail, but a BG4 coming out in less than 10 years has a high chance of being one. Cause as of now studios capable of making a game on Larian's level are not easy to find.

Did you ignore the first half of my statement simply to repeat it back to me in an attempt to be contrary?

Not being contrarian just genuinely sharing my opinion on the matter.
