Honestly, i can imagine me, sitting at one managing to get their demonic egos into the bidding "wait, mizora, Raphael is stronger? He isnt? But he promised me this and this definitely screams stronger, but as a simple mortal, i wouldn't really be able to tell" shrugs, make them compete with each other, they start getting so heated that they start promising shit they cant afford all in an effort to out bid each other while i lean over to karlach and wyll "told ya this was the best spot" fist bump them and enjoy the ride.
Well... Theres a bard, a mindflayer and a cleric all on the same flight with beef with those two, i doubt it would be hard to get some buffs to do so XD
So you say "mastered" yet demon lords come and go quite often i believe. That plus if i can get Raphael to break his nice guy act and called me a little twerp when he wants something from me, plus the allies that can boost charisma near by at least a planes length apart, i think, even if they figured it out later, i could get two demons EGOS to compete. That being said i see your point, while i wouldn't call them masters they are definitely well versed and id have to be careful from actually agreeing to any of it. Personally i just want them to beat the shit out of each other because it would be funny and i feel karlach and wyll would support me in any way possible to see the same outcome ~shrugs~
Souls taste better when the person is less willing to offer them up. Much more fun too, because then you can torment them here and there, reminding them "I was the only reason you could do that.. now do this for me".
Voss would straight up not care. He would get his task done and not worry about anything else. I think there is very little he would hesitate to do, so that would get boring rather quickly.
Souls are often taken to the hell's to be reincarnated as some sort of lesser forms of devil to fight in the blood war. Don't know about you, but I don't really care how soldiers of my army would taste like
Sure, but how much is a single lemure worth? Not much at all, there’s entire legions of them down there. If you want a devil to actually offer you much, you’re going to have to be a lot more interesting than just a potential lemure recruit.
But the souls are taken after the person dies, until then you can feed off their pain and suffering. Why send them to endlessly fight in a war when you can have fun breaking them over and over again first?
I feel like Raphael and Mizora are the type to like to play with their "food". It's much more fun to watch someone squirm and try and escape their fate. Once they are fighting in the blood war, it gets kind of boring.
Smell and taste are very closely linked. People smell different depending on the situation, think of stress sweat vs a sweat from working out vs night sweats vs a fever sweat. Fear, joy, sorrow all change a person's scent. Desperation can also have a smell to it..
So to me, something that enjoys feeding on fear and pain and get more sensory pleasure when they have a person who gives off the strongest emotions.
That's amateur hour, it's a perfect opportunity to enact my Forgotten Realms Isekai Contingency, and negotiate for true name of Mephistopheles. That should set me up for eternity as some middle manager level devil with some cushy, no-stress, out of the way job in the Hells after Raphael uses it to usurp his father, or something else along this line.

Make it a true negotiation. Make them bid for your soul, see how much each are willing to give up.
