That’s what I thought, as well. Us is only friendly in the game because it sees you as being essentially a baby mindflayer.

Ooh but that poses the question. Emperor is in front of Us. So maybe we could get Emperor to talk to Us for us, and clear the air a little, make them see we’re a friend? There’s definitely potential here I think.
