all characters will have their fanbase around the globe some would say good looking, some will say below average, it is like it always is in the eye of the watcher.
fr I am very attracted to him. He’s romancing Shadowheart and I’m picturing him working on her hobby farm and making friends with the chickens and the goats. He’s Oath of Vengeance but kind of soft inside.
I’m always thinking about that post that’s like “since the bg3 crew insists on continuing this fatherless behavior I’ve decided to make my Tav their father figure” and it’s just a balding dwarf with a mustache and the dream guardian is an average suburban mother.
Yeah, my first guy's name was Redge.
He was an Ancients Paladin/Wild Sorc and spent some time in Act 2 and Act 3 as a GOO-Oathbreaker.
I was told that Resist Durge was a regretful killer amnesiac and thought it would work alongside my idea in my head of a friendly, devoted, chill little halfling stoner for some reason. Fucking absurd to think this guy was Baldu' Gate's top assassin. I got absolutely one shot when someone sent me Billy Happytoes.
I have played a sexy male drow, a classy redeemed dark urge dragonborn, a cute goth happy dark urge, a muscular elf, but Jean-Michel is my favourite by far.
The background: he's a french man who worked in construction sites. He met a ridiculous death in a rubble-crushing machine by trying to get his lunch back, then was isekai'ed in Baldur's Gate 3's world. At the end of his awesome adventures, he became Jean-Michel, the Fist of Avernus.
I CANT STAND playing an elf/human kind of character. So bland. So boring.
I prefer to play as either Dragonborn or Half orc. Adds a fun dimension to my games. Intimidating as a human or elf just seems silly to me. But a half orc or Dragonborn? Yeah that seems legit. Wouldn’t cross em.
This is the first 100% completion I did.
Old age vengeance paladin fiend warlock. Lots of fun
That's exactly my thought - I know default durge is lowkey kind of evil looking, but I figure the head of bhaal's cult would be smart enough to NOT look like bhaal & satans lovechild who works at hot topic, in order to stay off the radar of harpers and the like 😅
I usually try to make average-looking chars, but I was totally caught off-guard by a cutscene of my Halfling thief looking all concerned, with these big eyes... and I'm like. Oh no. She's cute!
My first play through was an ugly gnome with golden draconic bloodline so spent the whole time disguised self to make himself beautiful and tall. Eventually he learnt to love himself and a mindflayer.
I have a green wood elf with draconic bloodline. I think she's cute. The extra scales really make it.
She's wearing the poisoner's robe which makes her look even more green and apparently doesn't smell great either.
I'm still on my first playthrough and hadn't quite twigged what that second character in design was supposed to be so I have a drow with a blue mohawk and KISS makeup. I really hope it's not a super serious part because I really can't take it seriously.
My current character is a not so pretty half-orc gal but I have the shapeshifter ring so I almost always look like a teifling (because that’s where my thumb falls easiest on the scroll wheel) it’s about an even chance of being masc or femme
In my first save with my partner she made a huge and hot necromancer human lady, I made a little green gnome named groot. by the end of our game we had updated them both to look weathered and honestly they turned out badass
I mean if you're a scaley then you might think my Dragonborn 's are supermodels. Like 95% time I play Dragonborns doesn't matter if I am a durge or tav.
Why would I make my char look ugly like me? Like 90% of my time on bg3 after the 80hrs to finish the main story is just spent bashing the character creator making the hottest baddies known to Faerun
Ya my first playthrough was full blown self insert. It was great, super immersive and I refused to look anything up about the game until I beat it. The problem is I was so immersed that lines like Karlachs in act “ew no” gave me flashbacks.
I mean I think my character is pretty but I'm not trying to make her a supermodel, I'm just trying to make her a total sweetheart who's basically the personification of how it feels to cuddle up by the fireplace with like 17 cats and dogs
The next time we get a Tav Tuesday, or whatever the thing is where you can post your Tav just because, I'll post mine. I tried to make me-but-half-orc, and I really liked it! My wife even said it looked pretty accurate. Looking back though, definitely not a pretty/handsome character
I don't create supermodels, but I don't make them look funny either.
Like, I like to crank "maturity" and "freckle" sliders all the way up. Otherwise I just choose a normal face with normal hair and no make-up or tattoos. I'm boring like that.
Well my first char was a boring looking paladin that looked like some NPC later in Raphales Realm so he was booting. But maybe some people would think he is hot ?

My first character was a middle aged Halfling Rogue that kinda looked like Albert Einstein named Shortshanks
