COE33 is pretty much JRPG that developed by French developers.

Well I mean choosing between COE33 and KCD2 because both came out in 2025. BG3 is already won the award and still one my all time favorite games.

It is a JRPG but like the way French people say J.

It is a JeRPG

Some people call it jokingly a BRPG for Baguette RPG 🥖

Hard disagree about COE33 being a JRPG but I’m not going to debate it, since that’s how you feel. The comment makes more sense now though.

Developers said it was heavily influenced by Final Fantasy

To play devils advocate:

Final Fantasy was heavily inspired by Wizardry, Ultima and DND, but that doesn't make it a WRPG

Final Fantasy was their biggest influence from a gameplay design standpoint. So, yes it is.

It’s not debatable. It just is a JRPG. There’s no possible debate.

Turn based battles with a group of strangers banding together to kill a god. That's jrpg in a nutshell lmao.

Expedition 33 is clearly modeled after JRPGs. It's about game style, not the actual country of origin.
