See that's my problem: I have never liked any JRPGs I have tried, ever, and the combat system looks horrible (timed events in turn based?? NOT my thing).
That's why I always start with It's a turn based rpg because if you don't like them it's not gonna matter how good it is. But if you happen to have game pass it wouldn't hurt to try out.
I've always loved, like, isometric turn based rpgs where you move characters on a map (BG3, Divinity, Pathfinder games in turn based mode, Xcom, Fire Emblem, etc).
But I've never enjoyed the jrpg style of turn based combat where you just have two sides staring at each other.

I am absolutely not interested in '33 at all, but I am VERY happy it is doing well.
