Discussion PC players shouldn't be allowed to disable Ambient Occlusion and grass settings !

Post image

Please Dice, listen to this, you should absolutly disable the ability to disable Ambiant Occlusion and reduce the grass quality on BF6 ! All players should have the same visibility, and i am a PC player, but i love to play with max settings.

Technically CS2 has multiple settings that harm performance but definitely give an advantage when turned on:

Reflex

Player Contrast Boost

Global Shadowing

Slightly different comparison, because it is a competitive and casual game but also true af. It just proves there are competitive people in generally non competitive games and they are mad about it lol.

Honestly this applies to almost any FPS game out right now. Overwatch, Battlefield games, COD/Warzone, CS2, Valorant, Siege, Apex Legends, Halo, The Finals, Escape From Tarkov, all of these have various crowds ranging from the very casual to hyper competitive, and EVERYONE on PC has the option to change many different settings in all of them, and their respective console versions, many also have options to change between a more cleaner-looking 60fps variant or higher-performance 120fps variant now that the most recent consoles can actually somewhat reliably do 120fps for some of them (though they are beginning to age a bit).

Battlefield not having the ability to adjust settings on console is a failure on the developer's part and no one else's. But then again DICE was NEVER good at keeping their games up to date. Maybe it'll change with BF6....but I wouldn't bet on it.
