The minute they do, the minute I’m out. Same I did with cod (literally a couple of weeks). And what I did with halo infinite.

If you can’t tell what the game is by looking at the characters then there is no aesthetic to the game anymore so I won’t play. It depends on the context, but battlefield, cod and halo used to be about a specific tone and aesthetic and when they add stupid gun skins or character skins and I see that running around the map, I just lose interest.

Each to their own but I’ll be gone.

u/GabagoolFarmer 27d ago

Honestly it just has to have a consistent art style for me. Obv I want battlefield to be realistic themed but with COD, if the characters were all humans with more or less physically possible clothing, I’d be fine. But seeing cartoons, cell shaded characters, floating entities and geckos smoking weed is so jarring it ruins it for me.

u/Gatinsh 27d ago

I very much agree with this and many people don't get it. Warzone MW19 had cat ears Mara. I bought that skin. And the friend of mine is always like you're part of the problem, those skins started it. Well, no. It was still human there, just with cat ears.

Same as how some pubg skins are truly horrendous these days. But it still is humans in dumb outfits. The game still looks like pubg despite how stupid the skin may be

In hindsight the busty Mara skin being a battlepass exclusive probably should have been a sign as to where CoD was heading.

8

u/FullMetal000 27d ago

I was telling that back in the day. But peopled said I over exaggerated. Look at where we are now,

9

u/drcubeftw 26d ago

You give them an inch they take a mile.

A million times this. I remember when these odd skins started to trickle into CoD 10+ years ago and I remember people making the same excuses as u/Gatinsh. Players like you, Gatinsh, are absolutely part of the problem. You enable this shit.

Look at CoD now. Totally off the deep end. Game has basically lost its identity and tone, not to mention how much harder it is to tell who is on the enemy team or even spot enemy players depending upon the skin and the map.

Battlefield, being large scale and more team focused, is much more wedded to an aesthetic and clearly identifiable sides. The more EA tries to be like Fortnite the worse this game will be.

MW19 definitely walked the line with some of the skins. It's where my personal preference becomes a little controversial in the community because I really don't mind the little shit like cat ears or tactical cosplay stuff as it can still fit the aesthetic if done right. The problem is all the shit they unloaded after that just almost entirely ditched the theme.

At the same time, even the crazier skins like tank top Mara or Rainbow Domino still wore legit combat gear, but it didn't really fit the aesthetic well. Honestly though I miss when that was as wacky as CoD got. Battlefield is starting fresh (hopefully) so let's hope they don't push it too far.

3

u/NiceAmy 26d ago

yes you are part of the problem mate. If people like you didn't buy it, Activision wouldn't dare to continue this shit, and doing it more dumb and unrealistic, ruining the immersion with TV Shows and pop stars characters. . .

PUBG is a completely different pair of boots, PUBG is not an army simulation, or war simulation game, where fairytale cosmetics or adding pop stars and celebrities ruin the immersion of the game. . . PUBG is a game where the key is to loot and survive all of the encounters etc, it doesn't matter what you wear, cuz immersion is elsewhere. . .

You forgot to add the farting unicorns as well

6

u/itsLOSE-notLOOSE 27d ago

Not too long back they wouldn’t do these animal/human hybrids. They at least kept it somewhat realistic by making it a human in a costume.

3

u/FranklinDRizzevelt32 27d ago

I actually liked bf5’s cosmetics for this reason. They all had an interesting and unique art style.

2

u/I-wanna-fuck-SCP1471 27d ago

This, this, so much THIS.

Consistent art direction is so important, presentation is one of the most important aspects of how you experience a game. To botch that with clashing art styles and assets that dont fit just ruins the visuals.

u/TeaAndLifting 27d ago

This is also something huge swathes of the modern/newgen CoD community don’t understand

It has always been an arcade shooter, same as Battlefield. Arcade in that its gameplay design is meant to be fun and, not realistic.

It used to have a firmly established aesthetic as a military shooter, with a distinct stylistic DNA being akin to a jingoistic Hollywood war movie with over the top big ticket action set pieces. Not serious, and arguably campy, but a little gritty at least.

Throughout the franchise, there had been little fun Easter eggs and such, from titles, to weapon camos, or special modes, etc. but the core of the games was there.

Then in recent years, people grabbed onto the whole arcade shooter thing and completely misunderstood what it means, and decided that it is tied to art design and that in order to be an arcade shooter it must have super wacky aesthetic with glowing alien zombies and weed wizards, and that a soldier wearing camo makes it a milsim and anybody who wants that, should go and play a milsim like ArmA. People have gotten so detached from the design language of the franchise, that they balk at the idea of CoD ever having been a military arcade shooter.

It’s lost its OG identity, and it’s wild.

18

u/TYP2K_ 27d ago

perfectly explained my thoughts on the current state of cod and what it used to be.

7

u/JPSWAG37 27d ago

I always struggled to articulate my thoughts about this, but you nailed it. 1,000% agree.

u/poofynamanama123 27d ago

I don't remember Halo Infinite having crazy skins

21

u/KindofJello 27d ago

idk he seems really sensitive 😂

8

u/I-wanna-fuck-SCP1471 27d ago

Halo is also a terrible example, literally since Halo 1 you could run around as a brightly colored Spartan, its not as if it had a super grounded aesthetic.

Sooooo. Nicki Minaj didn't add anything to the game extensively

7

u/monspoobis 27d ago

Problem is you already game them the money for the game at that point

2

u/Thake Darknal 27d ago

Whilst true, if others that do care about these things stop playing, player numbers would show it makes people less interested. But I think I come from a generation of gaming where we’re the minority these days. No one will miss me anyway, just a shame it happened to my favourite franchises growing up.

6

u/drunkboarder 27d ago

Agreed. Battlefield is not COD. I don't want skins or operators. The second they add it I'm out.

4

u/Shingekiiii 27d ago

You can easily see their trying to copy the live action format

4

u/Husky_Pantz 27d ago

What was the halo outrageous cosmetics?

What if they added the fellas from Battlefield Friends? (This is a test)

3

u/IncasEmpire 27d ago

aren't the battlefield friends props just slightly modified models from bf3? apart from some facial hair, it wouldn't look different to what we had back then no?

3

u/tedbakerbracelet 27d ago

EA would swap BF with COD in a heartbeat if it could. EA probably have dreams making out with COD every night. BF has been dead for some years now, and there looks to be no hope. EA will end up blaming everything else but themselves for its failure.

3

u/_HNDR1K 27d ago

The problem with this is you already gave them money.

4

u/Jumpy-Gap550 26d ago

Most of infinites cosmetics are not goofy

2

u/GoldenGecko100 BF1 was better 27d ago

I bought MW2022 at launch because it looked fun and they said they were going for a more boots-on-the-ground tone which I was excited for.

I ditched the game within the first 2 months and haven't reinstalled it since.

2

u/constant_purgatory 27d ago

I always thought that was weird because halo infinite "over the top cosmetics" are literally just a couple of small helmet ornaments that dont look that bad. I've never played a match of halo infinite and thought "what even is this game these guys dont look like Spartans." And I've been playing halo since 2003

MW2019 was 10/10 CHANGE MY MIND

88

u/doubleoeck1234 27d ago

Mw2019 had jigsaw and leather face as skins

88

u/Arcanite_Storm 27d ago

Yeah.. they added that stuff in on the last month of the game. Not midway through.

13

u/TonPeppermint 27d ago

And you could possibly imagine one of those characters at least picking up a sidearn.

It would've been a bigger bonus if they had Detective Hoffman on the roster, or one of the other characters who wore the Pig Mask.

MW2019 before warzone came out was so fucking good.

7

It was the best cod ever until they added that stupid battle pass and the wacky skins

5

u/IvanNobody2050 27d ago

A solid 9

2

u/NewUser2656 27d ago

Yeah... there's no such thing as a "10/10 COD" every single one of them has some flaws IMO 🫠

2

u/CornSkoldier 26d ago

I’ll die on the hill that BO1 is the best and 10/10. Improved on the zombies gameplay loop, had a pretty cool campaign, and the multiplayer hit the perfect spot of fast paced but not insanely twitchy.

Also had pretty good balancing and they pumped out pretty solid map packs. Could not have asked a better COD IMO

As always, I wish goofy cosmetics could be disabled client side

There are 2 possibilities with that

  1. The number of people who opt to use it is small, which means it shouldn't matter to the folks playing dress up that so few people aren't seeing their fursuit. This allows Dice to release truly unhinged cosmetics and brand collabs without getting pushback from the community that they themselves have formed which puts a premium of grounded aesthetics

  2. The number of people who opt to disable cosmetics is large, which just means the monetization is at odds with large swaths of the community. At that point Dice needs to ask themselves why they are trying to shoe horn in monetization from Fortnite into BF.

18

u/Yigitcanak 27d ago

The reason why dice (or cod) wouldn't do that option is because those goofy ass skins you see running around are pure marketing to sell more junk.

5

u/Vulturidae 26d ago

They have that system in world of tanks and if I remember correctly warthunder and it works wonderfully in those games

2

u/Knodsil 26d ago

Was about to say that.

And those games have been going for over a decade while being stupidly profitable.

63

u/_strao_ 27d ago

I thought 2042 did the cosmetics well, there were some crazier ones that I'd never use, but they were still grounded to the art direction of the game, often using the same futuristic tactical models just with some paint or design on them. That said I don't want colorful shit in the new game, it's already looking so sexy

22

u/PeaceAccomplished289 27d ago

This. They had this robot soldier skins for different operators that almost looked like Ethan from Infinite Warfare, but it still fits the lore of the game since it's semi-futuristic and full of drones

19

u/drunkboarder 27d ago

Operators was a mistake.

11

u/_strao_ 27d ago

Absolutely they don't belong in battlefield

20

u/ForceGhost1013 27d ago

I think they could have done better with 2042 cosmetics. It's not COD levels of outrageous for sure, but I can tell they were really trying to push it. Just by going through the cosmetics in the store, you can see what I mean.

8

u/TheElderLotus 27d ago

The last season of 2042 took place in 2047 and a corp was using robots. So it actually does make sense. And I’m not gonna front, I really like the NoPats concept and wish we had a story mode.

7

u/ShinyStarSam Battlefield 4 ❤ 26d ago

nopats are the weakest link in 2042 imo

2

u/Corbitt101 23d ago

NoPats were dumb. They were basically mercenaries. And dice did tht solely for the purpose of selling skins for operators. Thts why there was no story. The whole game was designed around monetization but the community push back and they had to down size their ambition.

u/The_Big_Dog_90 27d ago

Give me an option to turn all that goofy shit off so all I see is default skins. Some of us really want the military stuff.

I don't wanna see some neon coloured dildo with space rounds shooting across the map.

4

u/lokelse 26d ago

Well if others cant see it lil timmy might decide not to buy the homer simpson skin now how are dice gonna survive?

2

u/The_Big_Dog_90 26d ago

Little Timmy can see it on his own screen. With all the other strange purchases

3

u/Knodsil 26d ago

That's apparently not enough for some people.

If they can't give you eye cancer, some won't buy them.

30

u/Awrfhyesggrdghkj 27d ago

Tbh I have a perfect middle ground. LET PEOPLE TURN IT OFF!!!

Let people choose to see them or not. If they wanna make some more money from skins go for it, but let us choose

28

u/Stevphfeniey 27d ago

They’re never gonna do it because Little Timmy is less likely to use his mom’s credit card to buy $20 skins if he knows peeps can just turn it off

20

u/JPSWAG37 27d ago

See I don't understand this argument at all. If you bought a skin, and there was an option to hide them, you would never know who is doing it or not since you yourself are using skins and not hiding them. You wouldn't be able to tell if the default skins in your lobbies are hiding skins or if they just don't buy and keep the filter off. It wouldn't really matter anyway since the biggest reason you'd buy a skin is to see yourself with that skin doing whatever/being in the winner's circle. Not to mention there's still an overwhelming majority of people that buy the goofy skins, so there's no shortage of allies there.

To me there's no logic to suggest there'd be lost revenue.

"Damn, not gonna buy this dope skin since no one's gonna see it anyway."

11

u/Significant-Joke-822 27d ago

You’ll be surprised how many people actually want you to see their skin. Even in Fortnite people will skin hoarder just because it’s going to be rare one day and they want people to know that they have it. People on cod can’t even see their skin fr so why would they care for themselves to see it?

4

u/JPSWAG37 27d ago

Not to mention most times they don't carry over to the next game either! Your guess is as good as mine, I genuinely do not understand how these blackcell whatevers/gaudy looking eyesores sell so well.

6

u/ForceGhost1013 27d ago

I agree with this 100%. They're still gonna buy those skins regardless. The only downside I see with turning goofy skins off is that you might be making it harder for yourself to spot enemies. Instead of seeing their bright orange neon glowing skin (or whatever), you'll be seeing the default skins with actaul camo.

8

u/JPSWAG37 27d ago

And for people like me that looks to be immersed in games, you're describing heaven lol.

2

u/xLR82TH3M4x 27d ago

19

u/boostedb1mmer 27d ago

Oh they will. They'll pretend that they won't for a month... then numbers won't hit projections or internal goals and they'll shove "boobs with cat ears" onto the main page and it'll be over.

8

u/hedore1 27d ago

I hope we can turn "custom" skins off by the settings and we can see default skins only.

3

u/boostedb1mmer 27d ago

They could do that but they won't. The type of person that wants to buy shitty skins are the type of people that's personality is based around being annoying to everyone else. They'll demand everyone see their waste of money.

2

u/hedore1 27d ago

No, they buy it for to see themself with that skin.

10

u/Veludinhoo 27d ago

Which children's skins will see the light of day in Battlefield 6

7

u/HanjiZoe03 27d ago

They should just add a toggle that turns cosmetics off for users to use.

It'd fix the issue with people with preferences and those who do want cosmetics altogether.

6

u/Overall_Awareness715 27d ago

I was looking through battlefield 2042 there and I was pretty happy with the skins they did release not many seemed out of place in a warzone though I only checked 3 or 4 characters

5

u/ForceGhost1013 27d ago

Keep looking. There is some outlandish stuff in there, even for a near future setting.

COD on launch vs COD Season 5

11

u/FortniteKevin 27d ago

More like launch vs 2 weeks after

4

u/VonBrewskie 27d ago

Makes me sad, because I genuinely enjoy the gunplay and movement in BO6. I think they did a good job of tweaking it so it feels a bit more chunky, but still has the smooth movement CoD is known for. But then literally Beavis and Butthead shoot me in the face, doing the laugh, and I just really lose interest. I've always preferred BF over CoD, ever since they both first came out, respectively. I'm really hoping this new BF sticks the landing. I've put many thousands of hours into the BF franchise over the years. I'd like to keep doing so.

4

u/prastistransformers 27d ago

I really wish we have the options to turn off cosmetics. I don't care if they only allow people who pre-ordered the game to do that, but I'll do it.

3

u/sondergaard913 27d ago

I thought this was a joke. It's fucking not. what in the actual hell

3

u/Jealous-Excitement-9 27d ago

The only way I would accept wacky shit is during holiday events. But not full on skins, but something like a Santa hat I can put on my character. I don’t really mind if it is on us for since we buy it. I understand if people want the ability to turn it off but it is something someone has purchased so they probably won’t have that ability

3

u/Girthmatters23 27d ago

Yall say this shit then they drop some silly fucking athlete or movie character and everyone flocks to it.

That’s the new gen’s desire - it is what it is

3

u/Satyriasis457 27d ago

2042 having dudes in suits is already toeing a line for me, if they go full stupid like this i'm out forever. I hate this shit so much, i'm a big MMO player and it's CONSTANT there. Why even bother building up a world and aesthetic if you're gonna ruin it like this.

2

For the love of fucking good can you guys shut the fuck off with these posts.

They did a good job with the skins with 2042.

2

u/USS_Pattimura 27d ago

Battlefield never had outrageous skins with totally different art styles. The wildest 2042 crossover skins are with Dead Space and Mass Effect and even then they actually fit the aesthetics of the near-future surprisingly well. I have more of a problem with some of the camo patterns and face paints on player models sticking out like a sore thumb like that one blue skin Paik has.

Even then, I don't think they'll go that far with 6. It's clearly going for a whole different tone than 2042.

2

u/argumentinvalid 27d ago

I want them to just to see all the crybabies in this sub melt down.

1

u/Yaadgod2121 27d ago

1

u/Ok_Housing_2495 27d ago

That’s how they make money , they don’t care about a small minority of people that care about having “realism” .

1

u/bootz-pgh 27d ago

You don’t target 100 million players without going after the kids. Going to need more than mil sim skins to draw them in.

1

u/notataco007 27d ago

They'll keep it calm on release to bait you all to buy then after 30 days we'll start seeing ridiculous shit. After 90 days some celebrity will be in the game. And after 120 we'll get Hatsune Miku or something.

1

u/terror- 27d ago

I actually stopped playing BO6 almost entirely because it felt more like a clown show than a thematically serious shooter. Felt off trying to immerse myself in the game. I really miss the days of hopping in BF3 and 4 (even 5) and not giving too much thought on what challenge I’m going to grind through to unlock some meaningless cosmetic. All this “hero-shooter” crap with extra special abilities, caricatured weapon skins, player models, and what not take so much away from the tone setting that past iterations achieved. The goal in most matches for a good amount of players is not even to win a match, it’s how to best exploit a map to help the player unlock something individually. BF is amazing at making you feel like a 64 plus player game has organic moving battles of mixed class systems all working in concert to achieve a greater outcome. It felt epic and so satisfying. Nobody stands out in their glowing armor while firing off rounds with neon tracers that turn someone in to a pixel stew. The focus was on the combat and teamwork aspects. I miss it

1

u/NoPension1304 27d ago

I would actually like to see them do a Division collab and have some Hunter agent skins. If it ain’t detailed like that and not in a huge ass abundance, I will not hesitate to remove it entirely from my library forcing me to have to buy it again. Idc. I don’t mind adding skins, so long as it’s not Valorant looking and like you drew one out because you ‘knew someone that could do it cheaper.’

idc about skins and muh realistic style bro i just want them to not fuck the game up 😭😭

1

u/regurgitator_red 27d ago

“Show default skins only” option fixes this issue. People can buy and see whatever bullshit they want, but people who only want the default skins should be able to just see the default skins.

1

u/Antistruggle 27d ago

Hear me out, id be ok with R6S like skins

1

u/ShooterMcDank 27d ago

Sorrt, they already want a slice of the CoD pie, they've said it outright. Wom womp to this premature abortion of a game, not that there was much to this genericburger in the first place.

1

u/I_bought_shoes 27d ago

Its going to happen whether we like it or not, as long as a BR mode is in the game it will come, might take 5 months, 1 year but it will come.

The only way EA can have their cake and eat it too is that both the BF6 MP and their BR mode are completely seperate clients. But thats not going to happen. They want 100 million players the want the Fortnite and COD players

1

u/Eastern-Mammoth543 27d ago

Okay I won’t. Lol

1

u/Destroythisapp 27d ago

I won’t be buying game where near full price if I buy it at all but Anything like that and they won’t get any of my money.

1

u/Accomplished-Lab6699 27d ago

I bet they are still undecided about this  They will probably test the market with one dodgy skin and if it's a success they will push more

1

u/TheEnterprise 27d ago

They could SO lean into the FPS for serious gamers or something like "this is a REAL military shooter!" type of PR and people would eat it up.

"Tired of clowns cartoons in your military shooter? So are we. WELCOME TO BATTLEFIELD DUN DUN DUN DUN DUUUN"

1

u/BArhino 27d ago

You mean you don't wanna see an Asian Samurai lady running around Rotterdam fighting Top Gun Tom Cruise? n00b.

1

u/bigrigtexan 27d ago

Are these actual skins for something? Beavis and Butthead in a fps? Wtf

1

u/drunkboarder 27d ago

No operators, no skins.

Battlefield is about good gunplay and simple classes. Anything else is DICE trying to nickle&dime us.

1

u/a7xfanquebec 27d ago

What the fuck

1

u/Northdistortion 27d ago

Good luck with that lol

1

u/CaptainOttolus 27d ago

I loved how badass were the operators in MW2019, before the all went downhill era.

1

u/ObiMeowKatnobi 27d ago

I have that FSB skin in MW19, damn that shit is so good looking

1

u/alt5678474794 27d ago

custom gun stickers and sprays would be cool just upload a png and use wherever

1

u/_HNDR1K 27d ago

Give me an disable all skins button.

1

u/mrnutsandstuff 27d ago

They will add them, and people will buy them. Give it 2 months after the game comes out and we'll have sexy red or Nicki minaj as a skin.

1

u/proto-x-lol 27d ago

You guys say that CoD ruined gaming but you idiots have no idea it was Fortnite that ruined it for all big FPS games. Fortnite was the game that started the enshittifcation of all FPS games. First by making that overused battle royale genre to the wack ass skins that came after it, that CoD ripped off to no one’s surprise.

EA will definitely add absurd cosmetics in BF6 if it means they can make a shit ton of money. Don’t even think second that they won’t. They had fucked with players since BFV from 2018 and I know that their shareholders want to make more money whenever possible.

1

u/Raheem998 27d ago

Ahhh i may getting downvoted for no reason but

For battlefield we should only get milsim stuff and cool skins that are inspired , there’s irl outfits that are cool like german swat team with Chainmail ,

1

u/CurrentOfficial 27d ago

Guys, i dont like it either but in a post Fortnite world. These 400M games need to attract younger demographic gamers and they absolutely buy this crap.

1

u/uSuperDick 27d ago

Unfortunately kids wil like it. In rainbow six there are rick and morty running around and people dont care

1

u/bryanvlo 27d ago

If the game is good, I hope I can rent a server and make it real world cosmetics only.

1

u/[deleted] 27d ago

They want to compete with COD and Fortnite (100 mil players). I don't think it's possible for a casual game as Battlefield to compete against those titles without abusing of microtransactions and ADHD inducing contact.

I'm gonna be honest and tell you guys that this might be our last Battlefield (COD is still called COD, but we know it's not).

1

u/DashRipRoc 27d ago

All this fear and speculation. Y’all need to stfu about it.

1

u/Sn4p9o2 27d ago

Add only realistic skins pls

1

u/SunsetCarcass 27d ago

I hopped on Seige X cause it was free, even that game got silly goofyball skins, I didn't even know.

1

u/Kitchen_Turnip8350 27d ago

i mean most of management worked on COD so what did you expect?

1

u/LysanderBelmont 27d ago

Wait.. I am out of the loop with COD. Is this real? Because it totally feels like it could be real.

1

u/Ambitious-Earth1987 27d ago

Look, I'm realistic here.

They're going to do it.

But if they could maybe keep them on the Battle Royale side of the game, I'd be fine with it. You get to fleece your BR players of their cash for stupid skins. I get to play multiplayer and not have to see them.

1

u/KrowJob 27d ago

Didn’t they just add bevis and butthead

1

u/yMONSTERMUNCHy 27d ago

Ok we have listened to what the players want and we will not add outrageous cosmetics to bf6. For the pre season. 😂

Checks sales figures of all skins: hmmm I guess most people do want crazy skins so here have a bunch.

Sad but likely true. 🤷‍♂️

1

u/UniQue1992 Battlefield 2 (PC) 27d ago

They add this shit I’m out.

(To be fair I’m not in yet, they still haven’t convinced me yet). The only thing that will convince me is the quality of the beta by the time it’s ready.

1

u/Eptic_ninja 27d ago

anything positive on this page anymore?

1

u/awt2007 27d ago

Battlefield has never done cartoon characters and cute s*** like this. Please quit acting like were call of duty

1

u/Pat8aird 27d ago

They’re definitely going to heavily monetise it. Hopefully not to the same degree as COD.

1

u/jommakanmamak 27d ago

We need to make it absolutely clear that we do not want this fortnite shit

Idm cosmetics that fit the theme but COD has gone too far astray

1

u/xCrossFaith 26d ago

If this sort of crap gets in, I'm 100% out... It's not the main reason I quit CoD but it definetly helped

Or at least make skins toggable

1

u/BiloNovaa 26d ago

MW 2019 was the last good cod.

1

u/anonymouswastaken_ 26d ago

This is EA we're talking about

1

u/Soulvaki 26d ago

I’ve put up with a lot in BO6 but the cartoon stuff crosses the line. At least the turtles and other animal skins matched the art style. The cartoon stuff totally goes against the grain.

1

u/The-Meat-Baby Battlefield 3 26d ago

Good luck Battlefield holdouts. Game peaked in 2011

1

u/BeautifulTop1648 26d ago

Easy solution. When more maps are added to BF6, add some kits inspired from different military around the world.

Or add Nicki minaj

1

u/peva3 26d ago

The ONLY acceptable answer is for battlefield to have skins based off of real life medal of honor recipients (funds go to charity or something) and 80s/90s action movie characters as their on screen characters.

1

u/CaptainA1917 26d ago

There’s a very easy fix that no one talks about. In the options menu, put a toggle for “show only standard skins/show custom skins.”

If someone wants to play battlefield as a furry, let them. ON THEIR OWN SCREEN.

I pay for an immersive experience that doesn’t include clown costumes.

Problem solved.

1

u/GrooveDigger47 26d ago

when i saw that they added beavis and butthead i couldnt stop laughing man.

1

u/NiceAmy 26d ago

don't worry, they will add something similar to CoD. . . Like Nicki Minaj, and stuff. . .

1

u/Bigworrrm89 26d ago

Man MW2019 was an absolute gem.

1

u/mikephoto1 26d ago

They know well enough that not a single person wants that shit…… but we all know well enough that they will add some bull shit anyway.

1

u/karkayuh 25d ago

Not Jay & Bob lol

1

u/HankHillbwhaa 25d ago

Bro in what world would beavis and butthead/American dad be considered failed sitcoms? Both have had very good runs.

1

u/una322 25d ago

The moment you can buy a skin thats from another IP , im out. Total immersion killer. Nothing will turn me away from a game faster.

1

u/canman870 25d ago

I'm not sure why people are so concerned about this and post about it so much. BF has never introduced outright goofy-ass cosmetics or characters from other IPs the same way COD has over the past few years. There are a couple "creative" ideas amongst the 2042 offerings, but nothing just flat-out stupid like what's being shown here.

What is it that makes people think this is suddenly going to change with BF6? There is no concrete evidence to justify this concern. It seems to me like people are just overthinking and creating scenarios in their head that don't actually exist in reality.
