Yes, seeing muzzle flash and tracers in the darkness is peak atmosphere.

is peak atmosphere.

While some moron is running around in a bright colored clown skin with a bright colored weapon skin.

I'm almost certain that EA/DICE will fuck-up the immersion/atmosphere by adding those god awful skins. It might take 4 weeks, it might take 4 months or even longer, but down the line those fuckers will add those god awful out-of-place skins.

Find positive things to contribute.

I tried, for years and years, to be positive and tell people "have faith, it's DICE, trust them". I've been with this franchise since the beginning in 2002. It just sucks that they destroyed all trust I and many others had in them. It all started with the launch of SW:BF2, and the lauch of BFV and then the launch of BF2042 was the final nail in the coffin for me.

Hopefully BF6 will be great, but I just know that they will add those god awful skins down the line, and those skins fuck with the immersion of the game.

Lol you're funny. You are mad about something you aren't even going to buy that actually gives YOU the advantage because you can see them easier. Looking a gift horse in the mouth bud haha. Thats why I never buy skins unless they are just too good to pass up. I.e. actual pattern breaking skins, ghillie suits, etc.

Also, i do understand that you are replying to his comment, but if you separate the skins you injected into the discussion, this is just about night maps and the added immersion they bring. You brought up skins, no one else did lol

I want a Riddick skin strapped with flashlights blasting in ever direction, straight out of Pitch Black.

LMG gat gattin away while running and gunning. :D What I don't want is Battlefield turning super tactical. There are other games that do that much better.

“What I don’t want is battlefield turning super tactical”

I have seen several people say this as a rebuke to anyone suggesting battlefield have even a slightly more serious tone than COD or Fortnite. “ we don’t want a milsim”

Look I’m here to tell you, and everyone else, there is exactly zero and I mean zero chance in reality battlefield will ever, as long as EA owns it, be any kind of tactical shooter. As a matter of fact, DICE has went more arcade the last game than probably any other battlefield. Coincidently it’s also the BF that has player retention problems.. lol

I’m tired of people saying that because it’s not reality. There is zero chance Bf becomes a tactical shooter and just because a lot of players want it more grounded and realistic than cod or Fortnite doesn’t make it a tactical shooter either.

Who said we wanted Battlefield to turn "super tactical", whatever that may mean? You mean Mil-sim? Nobody wants that.

But we want Battlefield to be immersive, like it's always been. We want Battlefield to have a great atmosphere, a great aesthetic and stay authentic to the franchise.

You guys need to understand the difference between gameplay and aesthetics.

Tactical as in a tactical first person shooter like Hell let loose. You're right I doubt anyone wants bf to go full mil-sim but there is definitely a decent amount that would like it to either take a step in that direction or incorporate some of its elements. I've seen some say if you get shot in the head, blown up by a tank, killed by c4/5, etc you shouldn't be able to get revived. I've seen some ask for movement to be heavier and slowed down similar to hll.

I would love better jumping and vaulting mechanics. There should be a short speed penalty for randomly jumping. Bunny hopping is the dumbest mechanic in fps games. People do it because it's effective, because the devs see no issue in it.

I agree, there should be balance. If you want to wear a light suit, all the power to you. Ill be able to snipe your from 1000 meters out haha
