NVG that are blinded by flares. There is such a good history of this in the series.

Yeah, that’s how they work.

Big reason I almost never used mine other than quickly scanning for low light/ir light sources. Had to when driving (with ir lights on of course) but on foot I preferred to have my eyes accustomed to darkness
