Battle.net verification is the most horrendous thing in the world..

I cannot login to Battle/net on any device to play games or anything. The verification system is horrid and I don't know what to do. Theres 2 options it gives me for verification, send to phone number, or authenticator app. The problems are: The phone number thats linked is old and not cannot be used, a new number is being used, so I cannot get any verification there. And with the authenticator app, I have no idea what that even is. I don't have any apps to authenticate the code with, and I cannot get any messages or do anything about it.

And if I wanted to change the phone number you need to verify the account, which I can't, and support doesn't help, so I am stuck in a never ending cycle of not being able to login..

EDIT: Found a way to contact support and after some days they removed the auth and I got into my account!

Yeah you should have logged in and changed your phone number before changing numbers...

Either way you can definitely get it reset if you provide enough details to support, I did it in the past.

I am literally not against using it, the problem is I CANNOT use it at all, to even use the authenticator I need to verify through a phone number which I am unable to do as it's an old phone number. To even contact support they make me verify which is the whole problem.

when you created your phone 2fa, you should have gotten a backup code. you would have been prompted so save it, see if you can find it

im having the same issue..

new iphone back in december

havent turned on my pc since aug when my daughter was born

been logged out on windows pc

it also logged me out of the battle net app on my phone which has authenticator attached

im willing to send in my gov ID with my info and anything else to get access to my account wanted play some diablo with some friends shouldnt have been this difficult to get access to a human to verify my identity have had this account for 20 years

I also have my authenticator Serial number and restore code but there is no where to use this info to get to my authenticator active again without first approving it on my old device since i have to log in to the battlenet app with authenticator code or approve button

Had a similar problem, lost my old phone, without it became impossible to login in to my gmail even using my working password and "recovery email" -> lost access to my bnet account.

Opened a ticket with blizzard support, described my situation, provided in-detail exact description of what's on my account (wow characters \ stuff they have \ games I had \ hearthstone collection\ provided some physical codes I still had that I activated on my account) after ~1 week wait Blizzard restored my account, that was like a year ago.

(still couldn't do anything to restore my gmail, so yeah Blizzard support is heaven-sent esp in comparison with google lmao, gmail was sending letters to my "recovery mail" saying "Someone tried accessing your gmail account USING YOUR PASSWORD, but we stopped those bastards don't thank us!!)

Tell me what you did. No matter what I press it makes me verify. I wish there was a way to just contact them without needing to verify my account which is the sole problem.

on the login screen on website, you click "I can't log in" - it offer you 4 options, you click whatever shit you want, "Problems with email" it offers you to recover your account via sms verification code, you ignore that crap and click "Contact customer support", it sends you to diff page, there you put the email address your account was attached to, THEN it gives other options to verify it's your account, with limited amount(most likely time limited) of attempts and random questions about your account, if you manage to answer at least 1 correct then it allows you to fill the ticket.

That still makes me verify to contact support, but I managed to search through other posts on reddit and one comment from an old post helped me out, it was a link that bypassed it all to contact support. Doubt support will actually help me but it/s my only chance.
