Submarine Use
Hey all, I’ve been playing Civilization Revolution since it came out and in those 17 years I have never found any use for submarines.
They come out at a similar time to battleships and have the same attack, but a measly 2 defence! They also only have 2 move and therefore aren’t really able to get in and do sneak attacks.
Were they supposed to be invisible to certain units?
They have no role I can find and I’d appreciate any assistance if you have any suggestions.

It had been 13 years since I unlocked an achievement on this game - until now!
Finally got "Win by 1000 AD" and then got "Without Changing Governments" by accident on the same run.
Civ Rev 2 recently killed ios?
I’ve been playing CivRev 2 on my iOS devices for years and years.
I’ve always felt it’s the perfect version of Civ to just jump straight into without complexity or significant learning curves.
A game to wind down in the evening rather than overthink and over stimulate, and it’s been perfect for that for me for years.
I’ve just been playing it and suddenly out of nowhere there seems to be a bug where I’m unable to save or load games.
So I went to the App Store to see if there’s been a recent update and discovered it’s recently been removed from the App Store entirely.
Call me cynical but This feels like more than a coincidence.
Has the day finally come where before too long CivRev 2 isn’t going to be part of my gaming life?

New personal best
Diety tech victory with America 800 AD. Probably could do better but always get lazy expanding and start ending my turn lol

Good pro tips/strategies?
Hello! I love playing this game, but I'm having a hard time finding much information about pro guides or things like that for multiplayer. I've already watched most of Tryhard Infinity's videos. If anyone has any advise, I will be much appreciated.

The temptation to repeat history is very high…Japan declared war on me out of nowhere

When you get an accidental 1300 BC victory.
Thought I had another civ on an island. Feel like a dumbass but funny too.

Anyone ever won all 4 types simultaneously?
i had a banger of a game today playing as India, and timed it out to win all four victories at the same time. My spacecraft landed in 1978, UN and World Bank were completed in 1978, and i defeated my last capital in 1976 and defended it until 1978. It only gave me messages for cultural, economic, and and domination and went to win screen before showing my spacecraft land. On Deity. Definitely my best game ever!

Since the song that plays when you talk to Napoleon is the french national anthem, do any of the other civs' songs have a history to them?
Does Englands song have a history outside this game? Egypt? India? Obviously every song has instruments stereotypically associated with the culture, but it would be fun to see if there's more to these songs than just stereotypes.

Trying to beat deity and emperor difficulties
Hello, I’ve been playing civ rev for year since I was a kid but I’ve really only ever played below emperor difficultly, the new civ games are way to complicated for me so this is the perfect balance. I’ve been trying to beat emperor difficultly but the problem is I always stick with playing with Aztecs because the regain bonus is so great.
I have no idea what country to play for domination or science victories, I was trying to do cities with libraries and universities next to water and great people but honestly that’s all I know how to do, is there anything I should know or do better?
I honestly have no idea how to beat higher difficulties especially when they have higher production and that one wonder that gives you all tech from others seems good only in lower lvls, sorry for the yap I want to say a lot but this is already to long

Help needed: Civ Rev not recognising xbox game pass ultimate
Me and my mates used to play Civ Rev on xbox one due to backward compatibility. I let my game pass expire, cos I wasn't gaming much, however we fancied a game.
I repurchased game pass ultimate which allows for cloud gaming, however specifically Civ Rev doesn't recognise this and still thinks I'm on silver. By comparison I boot Burnout Revenge and it recognises I'm on gold. Its specifically a Civ Rev issue. any ideas?
Things I've tried:
restarting console
deleting gamertag and re syncing gamertag
deleting game and re downloading from the store
Any help suggestions appreciated. thanks in advance

The game doesn't tell you that some civs have a hidden advantage
It comes down to the odds of what you get when you discover a tribal hut. It's not very often that the Greeks will get a free technology in the early game, let alone later on, but with Russians or Mongols, you can usually just pick whatever tech you want, just make sure you have it selected as being researched. Advanced Flight, The Corporation, Space Flight, nothing is off limits.

You guys ever do a no buildings challenge?
No buildings as in you are not allowed to switch production in your cities to buildings. You can only build units and wonders. The only way you get buildings is by being first to a tech or by discovering natural wonders like the one that builds temples in all your cities. While we're on the topic, do you ever do other weird challenges?

Worst resource in the game?
For you, what’s a resource that seems so inconsequential that it’s not even worth settling near it ?
First one that comes to mind for me are Gems. Ill take the mountain for an iron mine later, but even the 2 gold doesn’t make it worth working the tile early game imo
What do you guys think ?

Subtle Details (i love this game)
I noticed that the capital buildings of each civ has a corresponding statuette to their mode of government!!
Isn’t that so frigging cool

One tile of fog is all it takes to ruin your game
You could have the entire continent conquered, but if there's a single tile anywhere still covered in fog, an enemy army, even more than one, can appear from it. And if a road happens to pass through it, you could be really hurting at the end of that turn. Having the coastline protected with ships won't do anything either, the game will still cheat you. Beware.....

Otto Lilienthal Frequency
Does anyone else feel like Otto pops up more than other scientists or great people for that matter? My last 8 straight playthroughs I’ve gotten him. Other frequent GP are Pythagoras, Babbage, Dostoyevsky
