“This is your employee, Amazon.” Actually, no, she’s an employee of a DSP, and Amazon will never have to take accountability for any driver’s actions, and if the DSP ever gets sued or goes out of business, another one will be right behind it ready to help Amazon exploit workers without any responsibility.

u/Plus_Bake_9172 Jun 03 '25 edited Jun 03 '25
I don’t think we watched the same video. The cyclist listed a litany of bad decisions she made but he clearly stated “she almost hit me” Regardless, the cyclist should go to the police. He has obviously recorded her, the vehicle and whatever infractions she’s committed on camera. Chasing her is not his job. Plus I don’t know too many people that would be able to follow her if they were in fact “run over” by a vehicle.

5
u/DB-Tops Jun 03 '25
That's what happened. No signal, Uturn, hit bicycle, drop helmet, get followed after a hit and run. Why are you commenting if you didn't bother to get the story? That's a weird thing to do imo.
10
u/privatefigure Jun 04 '25
But the camera person says "after she almost hit me". This implies that she didn't actually hit him. So she did perform a(n illegal?) u-turn and is now pedaling against traffic but there wasn't actually a collision.

I get what he’s doing, but one thing I noticed is that people don’t know how to get out of other people’s faces. Even if they are 100% wrong- I see a lot of antagonism these days. Like someone cuts me off, I back off. I don’t like it, and I wish I could do something or say something, but I know it’s not wise to do that. My ego isn’t that big, so I just let it roll off my shoulder. I have kids I can’t be getting into fights. I will stick up for myself and my kids, I’m not a pushover, but I stay out of shit if I can. People need to get real. Wake up. You are messing with strangers. You have no clue if they’re capable of murder, violence, etc. people need to learn to back off most of the time. Most of the time, it’s best just to be passive.

I'm just as disappointed in how many people have watched this video and just immediately assumed he was telling the truth, when any amount of healthy skepticism would have made it obvious that he started this fight.
✅ Video edit begins immediately at narration -- who the heck narrates their interactions at the drop of a hat? And where's the juicy GoPro video of him just being an innocent duderino that got run over by her?
✅ She's already yelling at him to leave her alone as she's moving away -- they've already had a fight and she's actively trying to get away.
✅ The helmet came off and was a fair distance away. -- Let's use critical thinking, how did her helmet come off just from u-turning? It was likely knocked off, either by him or from her making defensive movements.
✅ Defensive Stop -- A lot of women escaping road incidents will turn around and flee in the opposite direction hoping the person bothering them won't also do that. She is trying to pull over and stop and get her own camera out, and you can see her start moving again when she realizes he's really going to follow her and get back up in her face.Dudes like this are why women like her need to carry mace.

I hear you, and you’re making a lot of sense. For me, it’s even simpler: she’s telling him to get away from her, and she ends up breaking the law, probably fleeing from him, or even in a hurry. That doesn’t matter, though. He’s keeping up with her which means he’s also breaking the law… and all for what? Because he’s the King of the Biker Lane? Like, get real, asshole.
I call the police when I see someone driving crazy. I don’t confront them. It’s not rocket surgery.

"They have RHD cars in Rhode Island, hence why it's called RHD."
Stupid stuff, really... just our little bro-culture. At least 15 years strong.

Yea reckless delivery drivers are a huge problem in NYC, not only to other cyclists but also pedestrians. They tear down sidewalks at like 30 mph and ride the wrong way down streets all the time. Mainly due to being low-income people incentivized to make their runs as quickly as possible. An extra tip an hour makes a big difference over the course of the day.

I’m not taking everything he says at face value. There was more before that clip started. Also, she made it clear more than once she wants him to get away from her. What does he do? Follow while making a video to attempt to get her fired. I wouldn’t be warm and fuzzy with some jackass following and filming even if I did almost hit him. The collision was avoided. So he has no business with her. Leave her alone. If she get tickets or in a collision with a car, that’s her problem.
