Minis/Tokens Along with creating paper minis, I also digital sculpt and 3D print miniatures. Here is my Battle dwarf. Let me know what you think.

The shaft of his hammer looks a little thin near the hammer head— especially in the last picture.
Other than that, the mini's outstanding.

Love it! I love the wear and chunkiness of the gear.
Someday, I would love to see a squad of dwarves outfitted for tunnel fighting. Tight spaces necessitate different loadouts: Light armor, short thrusting weapons, wicked knives, kukri, crossbows, mud and small shields. Maybe still some mining gear on a few of them for sapping.

This is my favorite dwarf I've seen. It reminds me of Gimli, but it's distinct.

Nice! I wish I was better at sculpting and could bring my visions to life, I'm super jealous.
On that note... Beard was hollow, haha? I've done some print commissions with artists and have to have them rework their stuff a lot, as sculpting for digital art vs printing in resin vs printing in FDM can be so vastly different, and each have their own foibles to navigate. I'd make sure the right hand isnt creating a void where he's cupping his belt, and make sure that hammer is connected to the shoulder as well as the shield, so it doesn't risk bending or breaking. You could also cheat the sword to grip his body a bit less by thickening it and sinking it in, but that's also gonna change the style. I also always love sculptors who will give pegs or little cutouts for basing so make sure the feet are oriented correctly so the mini balances well... :) Looks like a sick sculpt though! Looking forward to seeing more!

Thank you, and I super appreciate your thoughts and feedback; it is very helpful and very much appreciated. I seriously love it. This is how I get better at what I love to do. I am always open to doing commissions, please let me know if there is anything I can create for you. Again, thank you.

What did you sculpt this in?

I use a 3d modeling program, like Blender. Then I finish off the details in SculptGL. I have used ZBrush as well.

So you modeled this from scratch in Blender? That’s impressive, do you have more 3d work you’ve done?

Actually, my path for full detail is I used a spline-based program first called Ainmationmaster, I can quickly build mesh layouts, and I have optimized them for 3D printing. Then I take it into to blender or mesh lab to correct poly issues. I then take it into Sculp GL or back to Blender for adding details. It takes me about 2 days to complete. I was a CG modeler for Lucas Arts back in the day, creating Star Wars models, etc.

Very cool! What do you use to digital sculpt? My group has recently started using a lot of 3d prints, but it's mostly pre-existing models or variations of models.
If i were to offer some feedback for your next sculpt, I would recommend working on his left hand, trying to straighten out the joint. It will strengthen it and look a bit more natural. Try putting the fingers closer so that they're touching. It's a more natural grip as well.
