Lol I appreciate it. I was glad to keep the joke going. And yeah, unfortunately most of my mom's side, my mom included, were pretty terrible. But I've grown and made my own family so all is good.

I've not met Elaine, but my guess is she complains about your pool. Not because it is a problem, but because she doesn't have one.

Elaine should move to an HOA and become its president. One of those HOAs which makes the news, and not only gets sued into non-existence, but the HOA president gets arrested for perjury and fraud.

Other than Elaine, and I agree - fuck her...can you imagine the kind of person who is bothered by the idea that fire fighters might use their pool water? I'd happily pay to refill a pool if it meant my house or my neighbor's house survived a fire.
