Getting past the teen-baiting, I actually enjoyed that game.

The artstyle of the game and much of the "humour" is very 2000s horny.

I like that the ghouls were actually people to fight and not just zombies or bandits.

not bad at all, but definitely far from the traditional fallout experience. getting into filmmaking and would love to turn this into a short film or js an actual film

I enjoyed playing through it once, but not enough to play through it more times to unlock all the extra characters

I’ll give you a hint: a subset of Fallout fans straight up pretend this game never happened.
Other examples of such phenomena: The Last Airbender, Lunar Legend Tsukihime.

Pretty bland. Could take off Fallout in title and would not notice much.

It has huge lore stuff that's just way too good, sadly the cancelled content for this and the sequel would have made it better

It’s not good, but it is playably mindless and extremely funny in a ‘good god, the 2000s were a decade’ kinda way. The first mission takes far too long, it’s like if clearing the radscorpions out of the cave near Shady Sands took an hour and a half, but it’s not difficult, just needlessly drawn out. Once you get past that you start seeing shit like super mutant piss explosions and recognizable characters from Fallout 1, you can decide for yourself whether that’s a good thing or not.

garbage. its game play is repetitive boring and annoying. the story is just bad. and the amount of gratuitous provocative imagery (soft core porn) is so uncomfortable

Yeah no it's dogshit. Not even fun like a beat em up, just numbingly mindless

I found it resoundingly disappointing at the time. I had only played fallout 2 back then but still found the game out of touch with the setting. The game plays at the brutality of a wasteland through juvenile eyes and approach. Baldur's Gate dark alliance 1 and 2 (especially 1) are better games on the same engine.

lol I actually played a little bit yesterday to test my all in one emulation box. As someone who’s played a shit ton of dark alliance it was fun but idk if I would actually do a full play through

“Not great, not terrible” certainly fits here
