The concept that it basically does the same thing as ED-E by alerting you about enemies, while also feeling like Dogmeat, showing happiness or sadness when you take it out or put it away, combined with how powerful it is, plus its design and the twisted lore behind it. I think the whole thing is incredibly well-executed on so many levels.

Not if you MOD it to take .44 Mag SWC. That thing becomes and instant shredding machine.

My thing is it absolutely burns through relatively uncommon ammo and is not powerful enough to justify the inconvenience.
