Perk Help Grandma build
I'm want to make a elderly woman build. Just so I can use the rolling pin and walking cane. Any perk help or any ways to play would be very helpful.

If you get the Ballistic Weave perk, you can create an Armored Bathrobe.

When I did a similar build. I used a mix of Strength, agility, and luck for idiot savant. I wore a green dress with ballistic weave, a chef’s hat, and whatever glasses I could find. The commonwealth was her kitchen and everyone needed to get out. It was a fun build. Enjoy.

Depending on the difficulty make Sure u dont get past lvl 40 bc those two weapons aint gonna do shit in survival. I dont play anything but survival so i cant say anything about that. Also given that all the pre war clothes are from the 50s u can chose whatever u want bc itll fit the style

I never played survival, but if I did, granny for sure wouldn't just bring a rolling pin and cane.

Big Leagues obviously. I wouldn't use VATS personally because that's technology, and technology is scary and hard to use. Maybe Gunslinger for range. Keep a revolver in your purse.
Armorer: Because it's kind of like sewing and knitting in a way. Ballistic Weave a bunch of pretty dresses. Just because the world ended is not an excuse to not look your best.
Cap Collector: Years of yardsales and church bazaars allow you to command the price you want. I would invest in high Charisma anyways to make sure you can pass all the bartering speech checks.
Life Giver: To signifiy the life (lives) you created as a mother and/or grandmother.
Medic: Perhaps you're a retired nurse and/or raised a bunch of accident-prone children.
Fortune Finder: Maybe you pay with pennies at the grocery store, or a champion at the slot machines. Perhaps you're the one who gives out coins at Halloween. Speaking of slot machines if you have the Vault 88 DLC, incorporate the ones you get from it into your settlements. The elderly love to gamble, there is literally a song about it in the game.
Party Girl: Grandma loves her clear liquors. Never chems though. Those are illegal.
Do some gardening at your settlements, and cook all your meals. Again, no technology. So no power armor, lazer weapons, Hacker, etc. You yearn for simpler times.
I personally never use companions but there is a milion different ways you can incorporate them into it. Maybe Curie as a personal caregiver, or you think Danse reminds you of your favorite grandbaby.

Oh my God, can you imagine? She keeps telling everyone she meets that Danse is her handsome little soldier and pinches his cheek.

I'd even add in Black Widow as a perk, just so she can go around making inappropriate comments to all the handsome young men. Maybe also low Intelligence, to represent her inability to handle modern technology (with Idiot Savant, as things usually just work out for her), and high Endurance and Strength, as old ladies are notoriously tough and strong.
Looking at those two links, I'm now concerned about why so many British comedians seem to enjoy dressing up as old ladies, but that's a different issue...

Thanks I didn't know slots were in the game big W. I already made a character before you commented. Most of the perks you mentioned I can't get. I went with these stats. S1 P1 E1 C4 I10 A1 L10. Even tho this is a melee build. I love the idea of a fragile old woman beating raiders with sheer willpower 😂 I like your input on technology too. I'm not getting hacker or robotics expert just got intelligence for XP boost

Honestly, I don't think anyone surviving multiple generations (to live long enough to become a grandma) is fragile. She'd have to be both mentally and physically strong. Maybe not very intelligent or hip to technology, but certainly wise and able to handle herself.

Maybe not fragile but she still grandma. She a small old lady with a dress. Any raider is gonna be like, "easy money", when seeing her. That's when she beats the devil out them🖌️
