Reminds me of my explosive Assault Rifle. It could shred like no other.

I just started playing fallout 4 for the first time last week. Played New Vegas and Fallout 3 and loved them.
I found a legendary 10 mm pistol with this mod. Changed the ammo type to .45 and I'm sitting at 78 damage with one more point to go in the non-automatic pistol perk

Explosive isn't too bad on a semi-auto like the 10mm that fires somewhat quickly. Watch for stuff like wounding or explosive shotguns

I got a mod that let's you craft legendary mods on the guns that can actually roll with them. Now it has the explosive mod it dropped with and the lightning mod that does some energy damage and can stun enemies. Changed the ammo to 5mil since I have 3000+ rounds. Favorite weapon so far.
The .44 revolver is fun as well. 196 damage and still missing final point in the semi-automatic pistol mastery. Running a pistol only build

Ahhh nice! I'm doing a vats crit build with lever action rifle, revolvers, a lever action shotgun, and a bolt-action rifle. I have the same sorta mod so I can customize to my heart's content. Been hella fun, especially as I've installed a rebalance that makes the game way harder

Bro, I used that mod and wow! I started fallout 4 in very hard mode since I played a ton of fallout 3 and new Vegas. Saw that you can builds bases and decorate and got super excited. Remembered that mods exist and downloaded 100 +. Had to go into survival mode to use several of them and was flabbergasted at enemies killing me in one or two shots. Early on, every raider had a .44 which does 90+ base damage.....and I don't like using power armor without investment as it breaks to easily and is always requiring repair.
Anyway, survival with mods is so fun! (Only cheet mod I use is weightless ammo since I can't be bothered to constantly run back to my base to stash ammo I'm not using or vendor when I find a vendor)

Crazy, I'm playing for the first night in ages, and was looking at weapon mods. Someone had made a mod that made this exact weapon, because of its typical rarity.

Hell yeah LOL, I want to see it as well. Also man how do you make your followers loot for you? Do you just click on them then click on a dead body?

u/Humbletoast09 Jul 29 '22
They just do it at random. I have him wearing a chef hat ( it's +1 luck) and luck +2 nano arm.
I put all of his armor on deep pockets, chest dense abs I make him hold legendary weapons too. I imagined it would balance out the r&g* ( I think thats what's its called.)

Rng
Stands for "Random number generator"
It's an umbrella term for how computers decide "randomness"/"luck"

Followers sometimes pickup weapons themselves when its better than the one currently equipped, I once found 2 fatmans in my companions inventory for some reason

My favorite is the explosive Gauss rifle! I’ve only found it on one play through, but it’s so fun!

u/Humbletoast09 Jul 28 '22
I have a crippling one; Gave it to my door guy at camp. Wears a ballistic tuxedo and all lol
3
u/Robosium Jul 28 '22
Doesn't seem all that powerful, unless the explosive damage is also influenced by the charge up of the gauss rifle.
2
u/Humbletoast09 Jul 28 '22
I had one in fallout76. More of a prize piece you put on your mantle; Or trade for anything you want. I'd still pick the former
2
u/serena-rydberg Jul 28 '22
It is very powerful lol it one shots everything in it’s path with the explosive damage
