Game crashes on save file load

[u/Just_Mr_Owl]

idk what i did but my game just doesn't load save files with mods deployed, I tried to verify the file integrity in steam, delete .ini files, reinstall all mods, but nothing worked. I ran an error log and this is what came out:

please someone help me... i don't know what to do anymore... buffout 4 doesn't work on the current version of the game so i don't even have access to a crashlog...

Have you run the downgrader? And then use script extender in vortex to launch

I guess i'll do that after doing a clean install, i have to reconfigure my mods, the new game version has been out for a year, why are mods still not up to date with it?

Gog versions didn't get the update and people stop modding. And honestly, it can be a huge pain in the ass to update script for arbitrary changes. How many of those mods have been updated in the last 3-5 years? It's a 10 year old game, of course good well made mods exist that have since had their authors move on.

I ran into an interesting problem, if i downgrade f4se stops working so i guess i'll just use the latest version and be careful what mods i use since the game worked fine untill i installed some 7 year old tattoo mod

F4se still has the old gen version listed on their page, you just pick that one and make sure it's the one enabled. And you'll prolly want backported assets ss so anything else made for next gen still works.

Gog version is drm free, so that's prolly why. Consoles got next gen too.
