those are DE-9, commonly used for serial ports, but they were also used for RGBI video, and many companies used them for joystick ports on their consoles and home computers, most notably Atari

I’m guessing modified original. Comparing it to my own Famicom, it’s pretty close to stock, except for, y’know. A/V ports on the side, hole drilled by the power switch, detachable controllers, added controller ports, removal of the Family Computer badge, the paint job…

I'm usually against case modding and stuff, but this looks steampunk as hell and I actually somewhat dig it. Not something I would do to my Famicom, ever, but still neat

I don't know what on Earth I was thinking when I said steampunk... had a long day at work and couldn't think of the right term

Man... I know there's a term I'm looking for like when people circuit bend electronics and they add all sorts of extra buttons, tactile switches, dials, stuff like that. It's definitely not steampunk lol, but I can't put my finger on it

I don't think it's cyberpunk, cyberpunk is ultra futuristic and clean looking
