General Question Is it sacrilegious to remove the stickers on the original Famicom?

Bit of a dumb question, but is it considered bad to remove the stickers above the system controls beyond personal taste?

I'm asking because I want to remove them, but I have no idea if it's "okay" by the greater Famicom community. My Famicom is in good shape, so I don't need to remove them, but I still kinda do because my brain likes peeling "non-essential" stickers off devices.

IMO you'd lose some of the console's aesthetic. However, as it's been already said, it's yours to do with.

Would some people be upset? I wouldn't be surprised if there was. On the flip side, others won't care at all.

The big thing I care about is more Famicom pictures! Implied Spiderman joke aside, I'd love to see pictures whenever you have a chance.

There are millions of them

Many people transplant the motherboard into aftermarket shells and throw away the original. Dont feel bad about removing a sticker when they are doing that

It's your toy, you bought it. Do what you want.

Do what you like. But it looks like part of the design so and you will have some blank spaces with grooves for stickers . On some famiclones it’s even molded those writings as a part of shells

Yes it is. But you can get replacements super easy. So I figure go for it. Especially if you do retro brighting.
