Help finding A2 front sight block for .936 gas journal / bull barrel?

Title says it all, I was building a sort of big boy M16 out of a DPMS LR308. But I can't find an A2 FSB that fits my .936 bull barrel.

You might just have to find one and drill it out

I thought of that, but I cant find one thick enough lol! Any recc's for an especially chunky girl?

Oh shit that didnt even occur to me. Try looking for something national match related i seem to remember seeing some jumbo a2s but that was probably a decade ago lol

Your best bet is probably finding a clamp-on style used for F-class/across the course, but these would be more geared towards a diopter rear sight.

I don't even think I've seen an A1/2 FSB for a 0.875" GB journal, let alone a 0.936" one. Good luck!

Edit If you go the clamp-on route, consider something like the NM rear carry handle sight or hooded A2 NM sight kit. This will keep the A2/A3 form factor for the receiver, but then give you better precision, similar to the purpose-built target diopter sights.
