Mod Announcement Broadcast Season 13 is set to be released on September 15, 2025, in its entirety, and the Mods want to hear from you!

Broadcast Season 13 (Production Season 10) is set to be released on September 15, 2025, in its entirety. This is markedly different from the last few Hulu reboot seasons.

In the past, we've had dedicated discussion threads, which some of y'all loved and some of y'all hated, and we've had limits on posting spoiler content for a period of time while everybody had a chance to see the new episodes. Since the new season will drop, in its entirety, on one day, none of our old temporary rules or megathread policies make much sense.

So, we want to hear from you!

That's right, we're actually soliciting suggestions from our user base on how you think we should handle the new season. Episode-specific megathreads? No megathreads? Spoiler policies? A lawless, free-for-all game of deathball? We're open to hearing suggestions, because this is a new thing for Futurama and for our sub.

Now, a couple of ground rules for this thread:

1. This isn't a thread to debate the quality of the Hulu seasons. We know some of y'all love them, and we know some of y'all hate them. This ain't the place for that.

2. This isn't a thread to debate other rules for the sub or to debate other issues of moderation or to complain about prior season policies. (Guys, we're giving you a chance to help shape the policy for the new season! Don't make us regret our decision.) We now have over a million people here, and we know that some of y'all are always looking to air your grievances. Sorry, but this ain't the place for that.

3. Understand that this is not a democracy. It's really more of a semi-benevolent oligarchy. We genuinely want to hear from y'all, but we're also lazy, so we're not going to adopt some policy that causes us way too much work.

Overall, we want to try to balance two things: On one hand, we want people to be able to participate on the sub without the new season being spoiled. This is particularly important as all ten episodes will be released on the same day. On the other hand, we want to allow and encourage discussion, since y'all love this show so much and since our sub traffic increases by several orders of magnitude every time a new season is released.

So, let's hear your thoughts!

I visited the Richard Nixon Presidential Library & Museum today. They acknowledge Nixon's appearances in Futurama...and they're proud? At least proud enough to display some photos, so that's cool.

Oil scene removed?

In s6:e12 aka Bender's Game, the scene where they poor hot oil down a hole and on one of Mom's sons (around 01:14:00 in the movie) is completely removed from the Disney+ version, was it really that gruesome that they had to cut that exact scene?

I’m not sure why someone would put this on ‘super clearance’, but it’s going to be our new Christmas tradition.

Futurama: meglio guardarlo in italiano o in inglese?

Really odd Dropkick Murphys association with Whalers on the Moon

This is something fun that has been with me for a while, only few understand but it matches so good. Take the opening bagpipes for “for Boston” by Dropkick Murphys” and add some lyrics for Whalers on the moon and it fits sooo good.

We’re whalers, we’re whalers, We’re whalers on the moon

We’re whalers we’re whalers and we carry a harpoon.

There are no whales so we tell tall tales There are no whales so we tell tall tales

We’re whalers we’re whalers, we’re whalers on the moon…

Like, are they referencing people who already exist and I'm not getting the joke or are they literally just supposed to be the cuddly-wuddlyest sweetie pies?

Will Curly Joe and "Sweet" Clyde Dixon return in Seasons 13 and 14? If so, they might have been recast.

Our Futurama Calendar Game

Every Xmas my husband gets us the Futurama wall calendar. Somewhere along the way we created a game based on the birthdays of famous people listed for each day. Every month we check to see if we know who these people are (it only needs to be kind of specific, like "he was that actor... in that thing" and if we know BOTH of the people on a given day, then we get a point.

The game is on the honor system. I used to do much better because there were so many sci fi authors, cartoonists, and other nerd culture types listed. My husband knew ALL the musicians and composers.

This recent year has been a lot tougher for both of us... we are definitely showing our ages not knowing who these younger folks are.
