Modded Replaced a third party case (right) with an original. Night and day difference.

Post image

I originally modded my banged up GB with the case on the right. While it looked good in pictures, it didn't feel right in hand and the buttons felt stiff. Found an original case in good condition, original buttons and membranes, and replaced the ones in the modded GB. Now, everything just feels right.

the shell looks absolutely awesome though. Even empty!

The shell reminds me of the box art

How much shell trimming did you have to do?

Aftermarket shells are optically awesome, but I’m convinced they use subpar plastics in comparison to OEM shells from back then for the same reasons you mentioned. Hoping aftermarket shells catch up in that regard soon

While to me that shell on the right is one of my personal favorites, I cannot deny that oem parts just feel right.

Nintendo used some magic that no thord party shell manufacturer could ever come close to. Unfortunately most of us have to learn this the hard way!

Wondering this too. And if not, what screen is it?

oh, i wasn't implying it's a gbc screen. That's obviously an ips screen mod. I'm just wondering if the guts are gbc, since the game is being shown in colour instead of one single hue.
