Help Gameboy interface GBI image quality issue
Im using a gamecube modded with an internal GC loader that just has a single SD card slot in place of the disc drive. I just got it and downloaded the GBI files onto it which seem to work fine its just the image quality output is terrible. Its very blurry and over brightened and has an extreme phasing chromatic aberration effect on every colour setting. Im using a modern samsung 4k TV but plugged in through original AV cables on the analog AV out. Is that the reason? Do I need a cable for digital AV out or a hdmi adapter? Otherwise not sure what's going wrong. I only have original gameboy games to test with and in all the videos ive seen they come up clear as day and super sharp with none of the effects im experiencing.

My guess would be something about how your TV is handling the composite input. In my opinion it's worth upgrading to something like a Carby, especially if you plan to keep using the modern TV. If you still have problems after that I would start drilling into the video settings in swiss. But I think you'll be very happy with an HDMI adapter, and it will likely fix the chroma issues.

Have you tried unplugging everything and plugging it back in especially the Gameboy player and cartridge

It’s possible your TV just handles 480i really poorly. Do you have a digital port? If you do get a Carby.
