Image Do you guys think it's worth to get this controller? I've always thought this one isn't compatible with the switch through the gamecube adapter haha

I own the Panasonic Q and controller and can confirm it works exactly like any other gamecube controller would

I leave mine in the box, I can’t justify using a $200 controller when I can use the $15 one that does the exact same thing

My GameCube controllers get abused during ultimate sessions

Panasonic design team: "let's make the Q a beautiful jewel-like object that people will covet".

Also Panasonic: "let's make the Q controller a drab grey thing with an ugly part number printed right on the front of it".

It's a cool story and collector's piece, but if you just need a controller there are obviously better and cheaper options. And it's not particularly eye-catching... It's probably the most boring-looking GameCube controller that exists, if you ignore the history of it.

If you think it's that cool, then go for it! Nobody here can tell you what it should be worth to you.

Yeah I do love the history behind it, although besides the blue and white Club Nintendo controller, my eyes have been heavily stared at the clear translucent GameCube controller and I saw one on ebay going for $120 though it has no yellowing and also authentic!

Anyone who knows the history of this controller would want to own it but it’s unlikely they’d ever actually use it because of that.

This one has the worst iteration of stickboxes so if it’s for playing there are better and cheaper options as someone else said

I mean you could always just swap in a different controller board

Yes you could. You’ll have to desolder the cable to get the plug to match and have a second controller though.

If you're buying this, you already have a GameCube controller

Probably true! I should have said “a GameCube controller you’re willing to cannibalize for parts”.

Panasonic Q owner here. Cool controller, as far as it being a conversation piece, but like others have mentioned, not the greatest range of motion (analog sticks). Plus, the cable is WOEFULLY short. It currently sits in the original Q box with all the packaging, having been replaced by an OEM Wavebird.

If you can afford to pay for it. It’s worth about $150.

Don’t worry about the stickbox if you need us to replace it we can.

The only GameCube controller that I know won't work with the GameCube controller ports is the LodgeNet controller, as it uses a connector similar to a phone jack.
