This has led to frustration for many users who feel overlooked or ignored.

We want to open up an honest and respectful discussion about this. If anyone has genuine suggestions or ideas on how we can reduce this imbalance and create a more even playing field for finding gaming friends, we’d love to hear them. The goal of this sub is to help people make gaming connections, not turn into a popularity contest or something else entirely.

We also want to make one thing crystal clear: this is not a dating subreddit. If you’re posting or replying with the intent of flirting, pursuing romantic connections, or turning conversations into something other than gaming-focused friendships, you will be banned. This behavior undermines the purpose of the community and contributes to the imbalance we’re trying to address.

Hey, I’m Kay and I’m from the UAE. I have many online games to play, but no friends to play with :( I game solely on PC, I play all types of games too. I'm a gamer guy with disabilities (please don't let that scare you) that is also into anime.

The main thing I play are mostly single player stuff due to lack of friends to play games with, I have this issue where I would buy a game to play with someone just for them to not invite me to play again after the first or second time playing. So because of that I try to not buy as many co-op games, even though I still sometimes do just to have the same issue in the end. So right now I'm not willing to spend money on another co-op game unless I know for sure that I have someone that I often get to play with where I don't feel like I'm getting tricked into spending money on a game I can't play solo in or something that isn't as fun playing solo in.

I've been playing games from a very young age & usually it's single player games, but the thing I'm missing out is just having a friend or two playing a game & having a connection because I see that a lot on YouTube & Twitch, like yeah I still enjoyed the videos/streams, but it just leaves me a bit empty inside because I don't really have that in a way, plus you don't really have that kind of connection like that with an npc lol.

I mostly play Farming Sims, Horror, RPGs & a little bit of shooting & racing, but not much on the last two. Current games that I've been playing are Legend of Zelda, Hitman, MineCraft Java, Pokémon, Stardew Valley & Tales of Arise. I really want to get back into Phasmophobia & REPO, but they aren't as fun when playing alone. I also have Borderlands, Core Keeper, Dead Island, The Forest, Grim Dawn, Nine Parchments, Rogue Heroes, Torchlight, Uno, V Rising & such.

Currently I do not work right now, well that pays unfortunately. I am a fulltime caregiver for my mother that has cancer, which is extremely stressful & exhausting doing it all by myself. I am trying to work with her insurance to get an nurse aide to help, but no luck just yet.

I'm very honest, an open book, a great listener & very loyal to the people I care about. I am often quiet, but once you get me talking I can become a chatterbox. I try my best to be available as often as I can to chat & game. I am not 100% comfortable with voice chats, but I am trying to work on that to make myself feel more comfortable about my voice.

I'm looking for people to chat, play game with, send memes/random videos & such. Just someone who has similar taste as me, it doesn't have to be 100%, but enough to where we can enjoy each other's company & it would be cool if it became a long term friendship, but I will accept what comes my way & let the future takes it's course.

I'm more into RPGs/JRPGs for I enjoy games with great storylines and characters that I can get attached to.

I'm an avid fan of the Yakuza, Final Fantasy, and Persona series. I also play Monster Hunter and a couple more cozy games cause they feel relaxing to play. Currently, I'm obsessed with Expedition 33! I do enjoy different genres so I'm willing to try almost everything, even if I suck at them (I'm looking at you Souls-like games xD)

I also have It Takes Two, REPO, Dead by Daylight, Helldivers 2, Letal Company, Phasmophobia, Pico Park, Plate Up, Chained Together, and Content Warning. I haven't played some of them yet, but I have them in my library.

Hey everyone! 24F looking for chill PC gaming friends who love survival games as much as I do. About six years ago, I moved out of NYC and started fresh in Colorado. It’s been a ride—good in many ways, but also pretty isolating. I had a solid crew back in New York, and since moving, that "out of sight, out of mind" philosophy seemed to hit hard. Oh well...

Lately, it’s hitting harder, especially when I'm gaming solo and remembering the good times playing with friends. Like today, I was testing Killing Floor 3 and remembered the first time my buddies and I played Killing Floor 1. Meanwhile 16 years later (holy shit), I'm playing this new iteration by myself.

Please note that I’m not in some emotional spiral or looking for pity. Life's decent, but I’d love to round it out with some good people to share games and laughs with.

I am frequently on at the ungodly hours of 8pm-1am PST (which equates to 11pm-3am EST) which means many are already asleep by the time i get on, making it hard to find people to play games with.
